I'm interested in how individuals use this forum. Do you ask a question because you need to vent about annoyances? Do you use it to reach out to other members and get their opinion of areas of the game that interest you? Do you enjoy creating polls or sharing guides on here. Also, how often are you here and what is the overall vibe you get when you spend time on here?
My personal story: I'm fairly new to the eso forums but not the game. My favourite parts of the forums are the humorous posts, the very helpful written guides and some of the polls. I also love the wish lists for items we'd like to see one day added to the game.
Unfortunately, I have experienced way more negativity in these forums than I expected and it seems most posts are putting down the game and having a huge whinge about many of the game's mechanics etc.I expect the constructive criticism and ideas but I'm referring to the constant bashing about minor things I myself found myself becoming more negative about a game that I am passionate about. I even unsubbed but plan to resub and just delete my forums account. I put in a ticket once then it didn't get answered so I cancelled and thought I'd give the forums another go but it just doesn't change. I take responsibility for any whinging I have done on these forums, I'm a grown up lol I did it on my own but I'm just pointing out how being in a negative environment can influence someone especially if you are having a bad day as we do since we are all human.
So this is my last post. I was becoming a negative poster and I'm ashamed of it to be honest. I realised this early enough to pull out. I hope if you find yourself in my position that you take a break and think about all the things you do love about this amazing game. Ask yourself if you are being influenced by the constant negative comments from other posters or is it genuinely how you are feeling. On this note I leave you all but with my absolute best wishes
