Necromancer doesn't get a whole lot of buffs

So the class is more focused on debuffing than on buffing i guess? I guess thats thematically sound...but it seems Necro doesn't get any minor/major sorcer/savagery/prophecy/brutality...? or am i missing a skill?

The ultimate that increases damage dealt seems to be a fairly unique buff. It's not the same as the minor buffs that the other classes seem to have but it's definitely unique and only found on Necro as far as I can tell.

No, you're not. And yes, thematically sound. Be prepared for loads of threads asking for at least an in class major sorcery, like we already get for Templars.

I mentioned it in your other thread, @Nemesis7884 ... you’re just going to have to be patient and wait till the PTS patch drops and patch notes are published.

It’s counter-productive to speculate on the class buffs when nobody has played the class to begin with.

We certainly don’t need yet another forum thread that will be filled with conjecture.

Nope, other then a basic crit increase, basic phys/spell pen and slightly average DoT damage boost that I can recall from Grave Lord skill line - their buffs are very few and limited and baked into their passives. Their tool kit reads a lot of debuff and more AoE damage.

Which is fine. Plus if people already "know" Necros are this OP without even being on PTS yet, the outcry giving them any buff would increase by 300% if they gave them their own any minor/major sorcer/savagery/prophecy/brutality that isn't from an outside skill line (i.e: Fighters / Mages Guild, etc.)

i think you get decent out of class options for the buffs with the exception of expert hunter...i dont really like that skill or the way it is set up...might be good for pvp, i rather have them turn it into another mage light giving savagery + 5% more stam...

Why would you even want class skills for those buffs?
Imo class skills that give the major dmg/crit buffs buffs are huge wastes of space considering you can easily get them from potions. AND those are pretty much the only worthwhile buffs you can from potions anyway (besides maybe immovability and invisibility, but those are not so consistently useful).

those potions are really expensive tough for "everyday use" tough, just to get to a "baseline" buff level...i prefer having it on a skill...but you could also change hunter/entropy and turn them into better self buff skills...

Lingering, tri-stat, detection, speed (situationally, since they were nerfed) would like to say hi.

PvP. Immovability potions are the best for PvP so if you want your damage/crit buffs you have to get them from skills.

Don't forget minor force and minor berserk.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

No class access to minor force and I am pretty sure they are going to take minor berzerk from nb.

Necro appears to be a class which will take a good amount of skill and awareness to use to its full potential due to the corpse interaction. I predict many people expecting to be super OP easily will be dissapointed come Elsweyr launch.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    Warden is keeping Berserk

For DKs, it's a damage spike on their heavies to the point that stams will pack the "mag" morph.

For sorcs, it's a major survival mechanic (heals on crit.)

For Wardens, it's a free resource return, downside being you need to animation cancel it.

    For NBs, it's pretty terrible.

And that one makes me happy. Finaly a magicka DPS that won't use the destro ultimate.

I feel the same way. Necromancer seems like a "veteran" class. Itll take more situational awareness and a better familiarity with game mechanics out of the box than the other classes.

Not that thats bad, but I don't foresee unskilled players having a ton of success with Necromancer at first. Itll take getting used to for most players.

    Necromancer isn’t getting anything yet.

It’s not even on PTS at this point. And I guarantee you it’s being tweaked as we speak.

    Breathe. Breathe...
