As the title states, do you have notes/docs (like google docs) of your characters, stating what gear they wear or what role they're meant for?
Hoping for more playable races

I keep a lot of notes like who still needs what motifs or who still needs what traits for research. I, also, keep notes on their stats so if I want to try a different set of armor, how does that change their stats. I'm a note junkie in most games I play.

I also keep notes on solutions to puzzles so the next character can just run through it.

Why? Alpha gear holds my builds. Inventory insight allows me to track where is my gear. Autocategory helps me to manage my equipment. All you need can be included in game, without additional work of rewriting everything being forced to update it everyday. Finally AddonSelector allows me to switch between PvE/PvP/Trials add-ons so I can have smooth gameplay even with many add-ons installed because I use just a fraction of them at a time.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

I have an app ESO Toolkit for a general list of my characters and their roles. I had several Post-its that were stuck to the cabinet above my computer that detailed the progress and goals of each character. I had to move my desk a while back, however, so now they are in a shoe box somewhere.

I sort of do, but I don't look at them very often.

CraftStore really helped with keeping track of traits and crafting levels for all characters in one screen.

Other stuff, like achievements, I just log in to the character and check.

I use my personal Discord server as a sort of notepad to keep little scribbles of information like "Research this!" or "This is the build I'm working on WIP." Stuff like that.

I have an excel worksheet to help keep track of the 2 accounts I play.

I use it mostly for a quick overview of all my characters (name, level, class, race, role), a to-do list, to keep track of gear I need to farm (especially unbound gear I can farm on either account), and for a quick overview of 'bis' setups for the current patch.

I also use it to track vMA scores/times, what prices I want to buy certain things at and once in a while I'll track refine rates/writ profitability so I have a couple tables in there I will occasionally use for that.

I'm on console so no add-ons and have a spreadsheet for master writs and what's needed to do them, info on when my crafter can start the next trait, what recipes my main provisioner has, and sometimes notes on things I want to buy or where skill points should go next. I bought a very cheap windows computer because Google Sheets was driving me bonkers.

Absolutely, and in the form of a very detailed spreadsheet. It helps to stay organized, especially when one has a full roster of characters.

Also helps to have a list of completed sets, why you're keeping each and for who, as well as a Transmutation priority list.

Only a handwritten list of tasks to follow, on which I keep a mark to not forget what to do next.

I start the first task with the first character. Once I've run through them all I move to the second character and start anew. No burnout because I don't go and run 30 quests of this type in a row to farm the achievement. This way I work through a bit of everything with all my characters, progressing them all while avoiding getting frustrated at repetitive content.

Downside is it takes me 10 times longer to get anything done lol

Edit: I keep a spreadsheet with the Jubilee rewards, last year's, and now this. And also a record of every vMA run, the character, and the reward. Does that count?

That's the nice part about being a casual, questy sort who's still trying to grind out CP, has ESO+, and has only three used toons. All my "endgame" gear is the same, and my quest journal does the rest. I detest documenting things and loathe lists :D

I keep notes of all my characters by name, gender, race and class, updating them as they level. Also whether they are magicka, stamina or hybrid and which weapon types they use. That's all in pencil in separate books per account/server, with separately printed zone lists of the rare fish which are ticked off as they catch them, the lists being glued in the books.

It all dates back to my early note-taking and map-making days with text adventures and early CRPGs.

Yep! I keep notes pretty habitually, so it’s normal for me to keep them for ESO as well.

I’ve got sheets for all my characters that are well developed, so that I can have a written record of their family/ personality/ backstory, etc.

I also keep a big spreadsheet for my builds. It’s where I keep info on what gear all my characters have, what enchantments/ weight/ traits that gear has, and if I need to still change the enchantment or trait on any of that gear. I also keep written down if I have backup gear on that character to use untill I get a full set of whatever better gear I need. I write down skills and their morphs as well so I know what to focus on leveling for newer characters.

    Spreadsheets are our friends!
