Got reported for... Cheat?

I got reported in BGs today, was fighting this NB from other team and did a few heavy into crit rush cancels, then got accused for cheating.. Its not cheating right? Its just like any other cancel? xD

That is in no way cheating. I got reported in BG's by an entire team for using sloads when it came out. People just salty. Nothing to worry about.

It's cheating if you are using a macro to do it. If not, it's currently classified as player skill, though I could see it getting changed at some point to work a bit different.

It's only cheating if you're using any kind of automation such as a macro.

Otherwise just ignore it and carry on. There are always the people who report things without understand in PvP sadly.

Getting accused of cheating when you aren't is the most delicious thing a pvp player can experience.

I still remember when I was playing the old Ace of Spades and got kicked from a server for aimbotting when all I did was "scope" to see enemies just a tad bit earlier than they could see me if they weren't scoping. Haven't had anything similar happen to me in ESO yet, but maybe some day.

I have a friend who got reported by a Khajiit Nightblade for opening with Blockade, light attack, threw on Curse, light attack, his set procced as Curse went off the first time and the NB melted. Instantly cried about macros. None of that takes over 4 seconds to do.

I also get reported for cheating when I use Healing Ward and Dark Cloak while popping a potion... As an Argonian. So they still exist, just in different areas.

Seriously, if you get hate whispers in PvP the best thing you can do is ignore them. They are likely 40 year old virgins living in their mother's basement. Seriously, one has to be pretty pathetic to get that upset because they died in PvP.

My guess it was a snipe spammer. I've been accused by a Grand Overlord of doing the same thing. I had to prove to them their ignorance after they threatened to report me. The heavy attack into a gap closer has been around for at least 4 years that I know of. Granted its super easy on 2H, but you really need to have a good feeling for distances to do it on command. You need to be near the edge of the heavy's reach, but outside the minimum for gap closer.

While cheating does happen in PvP... it isn't exclusively rare. Just remember, other do find it is far easier to blame someone for cheating then it is to admit their own short comings/that they just suck.

In short... anytime anyone whispers/says/yells/mails/zone chat claims they reported you and blames you for cheating, you just won at PvP cause you did everything right and they refuse to admit you're that much better then they are.

Also I think ZoS does what blizzard does as well and punishes false reports pretty harshly as well, so just think of it as a double win for ya.

i have those moments quite regulary. u just gotta do smthing people wouldnt expect do the unthinkable break their world shatter their minds.

That is just absolutely beautiful.

I was only blessed with being "reported" one time maybe about 9months to a year ago while I was on my Argonian Sorc. while in Cryodill. My lady lizard, was blessed with a 11k HP and 200cp stam sorc kinda just AFK in the middle of his of his group, well just dipping around dancing and not really being a help to his group, easy to single out but close enough to cause pain to those around him.
With a combination of Vicious Death and Galeron's revenge gear combination (not the best combo, but I sure do love my explosions) with Inevitable Detonation spam on him and those around him) + Haunting Curse on him and a large amount of buffs beefing me up from our group and a dmg pot used and a few LA spams he wasn't too happy to know he was ground zero for a near group wipe (think I nuked 4 out of 9.) Got angsty whispers that I was using other class abilities, like cloak, and had an illegal teleport.

HAHAHA! Yeah, mine I was reported for using 'templar' skills as a Nightblade and I was like "Okay! So if you're going to report me for that, just to let you know--False reports are bad." "I HAVE IT ON VIDEO." "And I have swampland in Arizona." Usually it's the DKs that ragetell me first that they've 'reported' me for 'hacks' because they don't understand how a Nightblade healer can... You know... Heal. They get even angrier when they find out I'm wearing Malubeth. "OH THAT IS SO OP." "Okay. I'll wear Earthgore." "nOoOOOoOoOoOo!"

I got psn hate mail and threats of reporting because my ww stam sorc kicked so much ass that both enemy teams stopped and ganged up on me and still couldnt kill me.
