Would like more functional items in player homes please.

I would like to read all books on book shelves not have them just for show. I would like my pets to walk around my player home not just be static. I would like to sleep on beds or take a bath and get some kind of perk for using them. What is the point in a pool if you get no benefit from it. Most stuff in player homes has no benefit just something to stare at and say that is nice but unfortunately that is about it. You get bored with them after a while in less you role play in the home or craft and use target dummies in home. If anyone has more ideas please include.

As it looks for quite some time, housing and furnishings are very low priority in this game, so better focus on something else in game or just find an other game if you like to build or decorate.

There have been so many threads about furnishings, making houses more interesting, but the devs are "lurking" in other forums, not housing.

I like your idea, it would be great to have bookshelves like in Skyrim, where you could load a shelf with books to later read them in order or as a collection, here is quite difficult to do that, and also books eat your item cap quite fast if you want a library.

One of the things I really want in houses is a wayshrine furnishing (craftable or whatever), because in time I tend to neglect the houses that are far from wayshrines. I have Linchal, which I really like, but it is remote and I don't like to teleport a 2nd time to an other convenient house to get to the wayshrine.

    Agreed.

For me, the biggest irk is that I can't even do basic cooking on the fire. Now, I do think it'd be ridiculous to make elaborate items on a basic hearth fire (despite this essentially being the case in the open world) but there could be tiers of cooking stoves or some such.

Also, in regards to homes and inns, I think a 'well rested' buff like in other MMO's would make good sense. Particularly in regards to inns, it'd help build up inns as a place to potentially strike up conversations with other players.

The pets are a good point. It may not make great sense for the pet to wander with total freedom... but as it is my hound doesn't even sit.
