what I've found in this game is that you just need to do what you want to do each day, not feel obligated or pigeonholed into doing whatever dailies from events or crafting, unless you want to.

It depends on where I'm at that day I guess. Most days I do play after dailies, but if I'm tired or have other things to do I just log.

I've been working my way through Cadwell's Silver/Gold on my main so I've still got a lot to do. Plus I'm always making new characters and will log those on if I get bored of my main. When PvE bores me I got to Cyro and PvP. And then there's housing for those days I'm feeling creative. Or I might have pet project; like I'm making a new character that's a goblinkin (using the goblin disguise you can get from quests) so right now I'm having lots of fun having Beep Beep the Goblinkin run around and exploring all of the weird towns and races.

I dunno. I started MMOs with Ultima Online which really encouraged players to use the game to really do their own things. So I guess I find ways to not be bored. lol Plus I like PvE and PvP equally, so I'm always able to take a break from one or the other as I need.

One vet DLC dungeon and crafting writs on seven toons are all the “required” dailies for me. Then I wander or work on skill lines or PvP and the time just flies.

I dont play everyday but when I do, i either hop on to pvp then eventually do dailies (writs all the time, but pledges not always). Sometimes I log on just to do dailies if i dont have enough time to play or if im playing another game.

If something gets too grindy for my taste (and that doesn't take much...) - like having to complete specific dailies (or even just any amount of dailies) to get event only reward boxes, which might contain something special that only available in them but the chance is terrible - I lose interest in that kind of content and just don't do it at all. In other words, if anything in the game feels like a forced must do, I skip it completely.

I avoid having dailies as something I need to do. As others have said - if I did, the game would become a chore, and that would make it meaningless for me.

I do whatever I want in the game. Sometimes that mean doing dailies, sometimes it's questing for a guild or doing random quests. Other times it's just exploring and collecting mats. Other times it's creating a new character.

That way I keep the game fresh longer.

I never do dailies, rarely even event dailies. PvP man, and the supplement with vet PvE content I’ve not done yet or farming gear for new builds.

The thing about 'required' dailies is none of them are actually required.
I try not to treat the game like work and I only really do the dailies regularly which I don't find a chore to do... really that's only writs.

I don't force myself to do the pledges if I'm not doing them because I want to do so. I don't force myself to do a daily battleground simply because it's a daily. I certainly don't run around knocking out every single world boss or delve daily.

Even event dailies aren't 'required' for me. I do them if they're enjoyable or I want something from them. If all I want from them is event tickets, I only have to do one.

You don't need to have everything in the game simply because it exists. Sitting here in this moment, I still haven't gotten around to Murkmire dailies or even the preview questline let alone starting the Elsweyr ones. And I'm perfectly okay with that. They'll still be there someday when I feel like doing them.

I find playing this way I always have time and enthusiasm left to play after I complete a daily. And then when an event rolls around centered around a specific repeatable or daily, it's enjoyable for me to participate. It's something new or perhaps a return to something old I haven't revisited in a long time. For me, a daily is an optional quest that I pick up when I'm already planning on doing that activity type. Port into Cyrodiil. Okay I'll check the bounty board. Queuing into a battleground? Sure I'll grab the daily quest from Rivyn. I could use some gear from one of the pledge dungeons. Okay may as well run the pledges while I'm at it. Etc.

Previously I was doing quests on my other characters (to build up their back story), play dungeon with my special builds like ice dps and stam warden etc..and I just can't find myself spending more time in ESO if I had to get several dailies done

It depends. At log in I decide if am leveling a character or if I will play a CP character for fun, or to improve their gear etc.

If I am leveling a character, I'll often do a daily quest run in one or two zones, then usually do a daily dungeon for the xp. If I am hunting a set for the character, I will then consider running a dungeon or overland content to farm it. Only then will I turn my attention to story content, usually focusing on the main story, fighters guild and/or mages guild.

It is rare now that I take a character through zone based story content, because I have 3 old characters, one from each alliance that I completed literally everything for in every zone of that alliance. So I have done the story content and have no intention of doing it again unless absolutely needed.

For my CP characters my approach is pretty similar. I will tend to have one or two I am "maining" at a time, or put more simply, enjoying playing. I'll usually run at least a couple of dailly quests and then the random dungeon for xp. After that its whatevs, anyone need help in my guilds, groovy. Anyone doing undaunted pledges, groovy. Any trials on the go, groovy. I absolutely wont be doing any story content though, for the reasons mentioned above, Ive done it, Im not doing it again unless there is no alternative. I guess the only exception to that is when a new zone opens like Mirkmire, then I pick a CP character to do the story content if I feel like it.
