In the event that I ever decided that I preferred a different character and wanted to main them, it's something which would be out of the way.
The first week or so is tedious, but if you're doing crafting writs anyway it only takes a few moments to queue up the next traits for research. And the further in you get, the less frequently you need to queue stuff up.1 -

I like the chicken ad was too cheap to get demon one.
Mimic stones are very useful especially with master writs and daily event coming.2 -

The only reason I feel underwhelmed is that, while I was gone, they were giving out things like Murkmire or 100K gold, then the moment I qualify it's a dress, a dog, and a chicken. It feels like the kids at the front for Halloween were getting full size Snickers and when it's my turn I get a fun size milk chocolate M&M - I'm happy to get candy, but kinda disappointed all the amazing stuff is gone.1 -

There is no need for anything legendary in some freebies you receive because you just bothered to login.
For most of the game's life there wasn't any daily login rewards system and it was fine playing without it.
To be honest, I was against the implementation of this system since it is too weird to receive a reward for nothing.

Well, duh. That makes total sense. I was wondering how my main (who gets all of my AP log-in rewards) keeps gaining levels in the Alliance skill-lines without taking part in PvP.
