Akamai is a problem and needs to be removed because it would wipe 20-50 off the latency.4 -

You are talking about zos right? They have been "looking into it" since release. The lag is unplayable at best.
So these "insulting" threads come from an angry comsumers that want their product to work as advertised.5 -

I wouldn't do either even if my ping wasn't 2k + ms.... but there are certainly things I can't do - like just get through the quest line "mini-bosses" (you know, the ones that make anything WoW and RIFT threw at my max-level toons look like kindergarten wimps?)

No they don’t. There have been issues for 5 friggin years. It hasn’t got any better, they’ve just ignoring the issues. It’s downright insulting to their paying customers in that part of the world and more people should be calling them out for this damn near criminal behaviour.

The only proof we see is our latency getting consistently worse. Anyone who says pvp is not performing worse is blind. The devs say they may have performance improvements in months but they have said that before......hence why everyone is whining.
They also say things like we dont need to stop pumping out content and do some major fixing for an update or two because the troubles in this game dont affect the majority of players.
So yes they deserve to be bashed4 -

Darn you got my hopes up for a second there. For the briefest of naively optimistic moments I thought I'd be pre-ordering Elswyer and maybe at last be able to complete VMA.
But as long as Oceanic latency remains high in the red numbers I'll not be doing either of those 2 things.

Yes. I'm on satellite also. We call it "broadband" here and we disconnected the old copper wire, just to be sure it didnt have any competition to measure it by.
NBNCo our only broadband monopoly provider is rolling out high speed tin-can and string next!
