I see a few things that could fix the problem. Either make the ingredients more widely available or make a recipe that is equivalent but requires other ingredients or perhaps ZOS is happy with the current price point for what they consider endgame buff food.
It may be meant as the sort of thing you use only in the toughest content and not a regular every day buff and if that's the case, the cost makes sense. However, if they are going with that logic, the disparity in price between the 2 gold versions (stam and mag) doesn't add up.
No food should be this expensive, it removes this food as an option for the majority of the playerbase, being reserved only for top players with high enough income to sustain it.
The same thing can be said for Spell Power potions right now which have always been horrifically expensive but a single stack of 200 Cornflower is now approaching an average of 80,000 gold on PC EU.
With the impending influx of new and returning players with elsewyr, this is something to be looked at.

this thread is not about this food is to expensive itself..it is to compare as it is not fair how expensive is stamina version food to magice version food, about this is this thread
so or lower craft cost for croth or raise craft boos for filet so this would be fair price for magica or stamina build

I have farmed three giant clams and got nothing. I have to pay for ingredients.
If you don't want to pay for spell pots, learn alchemy and make your own.

All my drops have come from farming.

you both mention farming the mother of pearl ingredient, how are you farming that ingredient?

Giant clams from a Summerset has them. It’s not a guaranteed drop though.

The fact that you're dismissing this so easily says a lot about your understanding of its importance.I don’t think zeni gives much of a crap about market price - because this isn’t a market merchant sim game.

The whole Stamina vs Magicka feud really isn't constructive and in my opinion we should look at fixing the problem rather than complaining that people who play magicka get something slightly cheaper than you, its a bit like two children fighting over toys.
I'll also add that health recovery is much more valuable to stamina setups than magicka, given the synergy stamina PvP builds often have with Troll King and HoTs.
