Launcher crashing during patch

I keep opening the launcher for the patch to download and the launcher closes after building up ram and downloading 1-2% ... Is there a fix for this? Even while the launcher is open it's very very....very slow to the point I'll click on one of the news articles and it'll take up to a minute to open in my browser... I have a beefy PC and none of my other applications are having any problems. Tried shutting down PC and starting back up and that didn't help either..... Any help resolving this would be much appreciated

    This is a bug. ZOS has stopped responding to people with this issue claiming that it is our internet providers fault. When there is hard evidence that it is clearly on their end.
