You can run 5 Sun, 5 BSW, grothdarr

For an easy asf build try: 5 Julianos, 4 Seducer, 3 Willpower

Yeah you can run 5 pcs BSW and 5 pcs MS with grothdar or Valkyn, no preoblem.

I also run this setup in vCR+3 due to the high mobility needed, and it can perform pretty good IMO.

Skills and CP remain the same as in most builds.
if you dfont have DLC then you wont have a vMA inferno staff anyways, so you can run those 2 sets however you like it.

I like Burning Spellweave with Elf Bane and then Grothdarr, Valkyn Skoria, Zaan depending on the type of fight. Valkyn ranged, Grothdarr close with a ton of adds, Zaan close single target.

16k last tick on Zaan is niiiiice. But a dlc set.... Wait for a free weekend and run scalecaller then. Well worth it.

Guild houses will have the tables if you only have mirkmire

Monster set as per above and Bloodspawn for ultimate gen if you going Heavy Armory helps with resources

why would you use bright throat...sustain is already good enough with Regfood (actually also with blue food, but just in case;) )
you loose way to much dmg with bright throat, compared to running regfood and MS

It just my personal preference I like that level of sustain on my dk he just doesn’t feel comfortable to me otherwise but again this is just me with him and I’ve always had him pvp focused so that’s my failings on not developing him as a pve character and focusing on a crit build

I run other classes for more serious pve content that I feel more comfortable with never felt it with dk’s as dd’s

There is plenty of them. Just combine some of the top magicka based non DLC sets or even crafted sets from DLCs. There is atleast 10 sets that can be combined for mag dk DD and can be obtained easily without having any DLC.

Problem with elf bane is that it requires Summerset to retrait jewelery so it can be considered a "DLC required" set.

some ppl arent that good with the reading thing you know

BSW MS Grothdar easy peasy, decent enough DPS for non DLS build.

BSW MS for AoE, BSW Spell Strat for single target. As for monster, Grothdarr generally should dish out better results than Skoria, but on mobile heavy fights almost instant cast of Skoria will be better if boss moves around.
