Question about the Jester's Festival

I started the festival a day late because the news bulletin on my launcher failed to update appropriately.

People in zone chat were quite nice and told me to go to Glenumbra, Stonefalls, and Auridon and to make sure that I start the quests in my alliance first then follow the instructions.

I have a Breton in the Daggerfall alliance that I made PRIOR to purchasing the Any Race, Any Alliance pack. After I purchased it, I made an Orc in the Aldmeri Dominion alliance.

I completed the Jester Festival quests with no problem with my Breton.

But...

My Orc, who is AD, had some difficulties. When I went to Auridon, I was referred to start my quest in Daggerfall.

When I tried to start the Jester quests in a different zone with my Breton, I was referred back to Daggerfall.

My question is, does it matter where you start the Jester quests or is the game bugging out thinking my Orc is in the DC alliance when she's really in the AD alliance?

Of course, when I join Cyrodiil with my Orc, I am indeed placed in the Aldmeri Dominion. This is just really confusing to me that I can't start the Jester quests in Auridon with her.

Have you tried abandoning the quest and picking it back up in Auridon? If so, maybe try hitting Daggerfall or Stonefalls first and then seeing if that fixes it.

That's the thing, I cannot pick the quest up in Auridon with my Orc even though she's in the Aldmeri Dominion.

I keep getting referred to Daggerfall like the game thinks my Orc is in the Daggerfall Covenant alliance.

It doesn't matter.

Most days I start my Pact Breton on Auridon because after the Princess, I'm done.

That happened to me as well, but I went with it and it will still lead you through all three quests. I'm AD and went to Vulkel Guard to initiate the quest. It sent me to Glenumbra, Stonefalls, then back to Auridon.

My Breton can only start the quest in Daggerfall which makes sense since she's in DC alliance but I just found it odd that my Orc cannot start it in Auridon and gets redirected to Daggerfall.

A lot of people told me that you have to start it in your home alliance. Some people said their EP toons can only start in Stonefalls.

I just wasn't sure if there was some sort of bug if you have an out of alliance character because of the Any Race, Any Alliance pack.

Just remember, once you have done the initial quest, all three are just random dailies u can pick up in any order. Once you drop off a quest, and you ask her where she's going next, just don't accept the travel quest. Then no matter where you go next it will be there.

I only do Stonefalls and Auridon on all my toons, cause they are faster together than the one daggerfall.

Same here, on the first day I started in Auridon with my AD character but the Jester sent me to Glenumbra. I was still able to do all three quests though, and on subsequent days, I could pick and choose which zone to do first.

Have you race changed? As I understand its a few bugs there game messes up races for reactions.

I have been starting in Auridon, as well. All characters, all alliances. This makes Princess last. If I happen to pick up a bounty doing Princess, then I don't have to deal with that for the other Jester quests.

That said, yesterday, the jester queen sent me first to Daggerfall, and I ended that day in Auridon. Do not know why. It only happened on one character, and the same character had started in Auridon before this.

No.

I have never changed the race of any of my characters.

The only difference is my Orc is in the Aldmeri Dominion instead of the Daggerfall Covenant alliance.

All the alts I've done it on either did the Glenumbra quest or got told to move on to Stonefalls
& I've a few that are not in the alliance that the race 'should' be in
