The fools that threw pies at me ended up DEAD! I thought it was some kind of weird buff. I kept fighting lol. That was Cyro.

In PvE land some fool pied me and I challenged him to a duel. When he declined, I called him a coward in zone and said he must’ve been born and raised on a chicken farm. (I didn’t realize there was another PvE achievement lol). I’m KILL CRAZY! I ghost fools!

Whoever made the rule that credit is given to the killing blow really didn't think it through properly.
Pretty much. If they'd made this a requirement to get the Royal Jester title, I would have been a little peeved.

Cheese it with friends. Just cheese it. Because there's a delay in the pie wind-up, it's finicky with whether or not it considers itself in range, sometimes it doesn't apply the effect, and also, you have to hotbar it, so you don't have your potions which, y'know, are pretty important for PvP. AND THEN you have to get the killing blow. It's not a matter of skill, it's a matter of luck, and even with ganker characters there's a better-than-average chance you won't be able to pull it off because of the high burst damage and stealth requirements of ganking, neither of which go along well with pie-throwing.

It was clearly not really thought out at all.

yah sometimes you can't pie someone that you have pie'd previously... don't know if that's a cooldown or just an aiming/targeting mechanic fail. If you wait a bit or dodgeroll it usually works. (I used my mount to check if stuck in combat and that's not it).

Grab a friend or guildmate that is in a different faction from you and kill each other 10 times in Cyrodiil while covered in pie.

Any achievement where you have to "cheat" to accomplish it is very faulty.

I totally agree with this comment. it takes the fun out of this event. It obviously causes stress too for those players that don't pvp and get intimidated by pvp achievements. Getting a ' killing blow' is essentially a pvp mechanic and not many newbie pvpers can achieve this.Thank you for taking the time to consider this.

I don't want to be mean, but if dying with a virtual character in the virtual world without losing any virtual gold or items or whatsoever causes someone a stress then maybe it's about time to go outside or talk to specialist.

    Indeed.
Cyrodiil PVP is one of the least punishing of all kinds of PVP I ever encountered.
Maybe if there was some sort of punishment for dying, people would have learned more from their mistakes.
When players see nothing happens and just move on and do the same mistakes, they learn nothing.

Yes and it is a shame.
I completed the achievement through normal means and other players just cheese right through it.
The worst part is that people even recommend to just take the short route and not bother.
This is a mistake and everyone should try to complete the achievement the normal way...
An achievement is worthless if completed by cheating/action unintended by the developers.

The achievement is annoying and most of the people I could once organize to game this kinda stuff with have moved on and the one mixed alliance guild I’m a part of is extremely trial focused and couldn’t give one flip about galloping all over Cyrodiil just to meet up 10 times in the same place.

So it looks like I’ll have to go it alone if I ever decide to do it. I’ve written it off for now since it’s a hassle to deal with but assuming I go for it after the event with all the pies I assume I’ll accumulate will it still work? I know I’ve gotten other holiday achievements outside the event times so is assume so. Anyone know for sure?

I PvP regularly and even have ganker characters that get the killing blow all the time. For me, it's not at all a matter of being intimidated by PvP achievements, but rather just being annoyed by how finicky and poorly implemented this achievement is. And I know I'm far from alone. So while there may indeed be extra stress for PvE-only or PvE-mostly players, this is a pretty universal annoyance.
