No thanks. 9/10 when one engages with a stranger about something like this, it's going to be a can of worms of some kind that's more hassle than it's worth. Even if that particular player is agreeable, It won't actually fix the problem because there are thousands of players doing this while blissfully unaware.

This should be easy for ZOS to fix. They just need to get their heads out of their bums. This is the kind of bug that makes one think no one at ZOS actually plays ESO.

Until ZoS does something about it, you're either going to have to either ignore it or kindly ask people to move their pets. And those with pets need to be more aware that they can be problematic for others.

Who knows, you may even make an ingame friend or at least let them know the pets are tangible to others.

If we sorcs have to suffer having these things fly around us all day long, b/c nerfed everything else to the ground, then you can suffer having them fly in front of you every now and then too! That's what you get for all these unwarranted nerf sorc threads

Which reminds me, we haven't had a nerf sorc thread in a while. Allow me to rectify that.

There's my first laugh out moment for the day.

Necromancers summoning pets in towns will be considered a crime. Possibly excluding some places like Vvardenfell which aren't anti necromancy.

Necromancer pets wont work like other pets, they wont be permanently out.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

It would be great if they would auto-dismiss in towns. I agree that pets and duels should be banned from towns.

Not duels. Where else will people duel where they wont be randomly attacked by mobs mid duel? silly to ban duels in towns. Unless they added some special arenas in more towns just for dueling its a no no. if you dont like being challenged turn on auto decline duels.

The area around Bergama Wayshrine in Alik'r is a great place to duel without having to worry about mobs. It's a very popular dueling spot on the EU server.

Now you've done it! I'm going to get two Pets and my Attro ready as well as my Cub non combat Pet and have them block everything possible! J/K.

IDK, I just ignore em and go on about my routine.

I think the point is -If you fix the twilights there will no longer be any complaint. Nobody can fix selfish players. Not even Zos.

And while we are talking about "blocking', why is it that my character can have line of sight on a target, but I - the PLayer - Can't see it because my screen is filled up with Tree Leaves???

Why are there Cherry trees in full blossum in the Harborage, at the specific location that Zos sets up all the interactions???

I really think that there are some people in Zos, who get their jollys putting in strategic code that is designed to specifically irritate the players. Why are there chairs at locations in coldharbor right where enemies comoonly die, so when you click on the drop, you end up sitting in a chair - just to waste your time. And yet open chairs in the bar outside your free apartment cannot be sat on. Why are NPCs standing right on your heels so when you go to click on a drop you initiate a conversation instead of picking up the loot?

The twilights and the bears are just more of these same situations. They are irritations that just do Not need to be in the game and could easily be fixed.

travel to a wayshrine - there's a winged twilight flapping in your face
visit a crafting station to complete a writ - there's a winged twilight flapping in your face
visit a banker in town - there's a bunch of winged twilights flapping in your face
go to turn in your writs - there's a winged twilight flapping in your face
    BONUS:
try to interact with a banker/writ turnig/crafting station and theres a stupid bear blocking you

It is a pain in the hindquarters to dismiss pets in the default UI. But:

There's a very nice addon Pet Dismiss. I bind "dismiss all" to F5, so it sits right above 5 where I slot my pet, and then hit it when I get into town.

I wish every Sorc & Warden would get this. Doesn't help console, but I feel like console experience exists to be annoying.

I really appreciate some of QoL changes introduced recently. Like the zone lists of completed tasks. I hope a pet dismiss keybind in the standard controls panel is another one on the short list. Then if people do not unsummon in towns, at least they could be berated because 'it's one key, use it' would be valid. :)

An auto unsummon in towns (outside of the official duelling areas) would be cool too.

But I'd love the twilight tormentor to be about half the size or less, even in combat. It drives me so crazy with the constant flapping in my field of view that I run the imp instead on my DPS character. I just cannot cope with the visual distraction. No matter how tempting it is to win cap the flag in BG's by filling the flag with pet, so I cannot be targeted. ;)

    Well...I never realize that, sorry.

But I put pet skill in both weapon skill slot, even I swap weapon it won't disappear. I have to take out the skill, that's why I never dismiss my pet.

This is my primary motivation for hoping that pets get turned into long-form buffs instead of toggles. Nobody will bother resummoning them in towns and we can all avoid that hella annoying flap flap.

I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE!

I mostly play on my sorc. The constant flapping motion and sound drives me bonkers. But I sure have learnt how to drag it off my spell bar super fast.

Most of the time, out in the world, or in delves, I don't bother to summon it. I like to zoom in a bit more in delves, and have compulsive-loot-every-container-syndrome, and the matriarch is always all up in my business, blocking my cursor, so I just get rid of her.

Winged Twilights are annoying for everyone, even for us, the petsorcs. They obscure vision in cities, dungeons, trials and PvP. Their size needs to be reduced to match the size of a scamp.

Daedroths summoned by the Maw of the Infernal set and Storm Attronachs summoned by sorc ultimate are temporary pets but still offending in terms of vision. Storm Attronachs are much worse than Winged Twilights when multiple are thrown on the same place. These needs to be reduced in size as well.

Warden bear is another offender in terms of vision. But I strongly believe that reducing size of the bear would cause too much warden salt. The bear needs to be tweaked as well, but reduzing the size does not seem to be the way to go.

You don't have to take out the skill from your bars to dismiss your pets - as was stated already several times in this very thread. Go to your Character Sheet und right-click the effect.

I just can not believe how lazy someone has to be by saying that it takes too much effort with current way to unsummon your pet.Gees,we all spend hours exploring our inventory, bank etc.Unsummoning takes even less time than finding your destination via wayshrine. As an warden it even takes more time to summon my bear back but what...it only takes 3secs from my precious gaming time if that is the way how you want to look at it.
Imo,it’s just pure ignorance if someone is using bank, crafting table etc. and thinks it is ok not unsummon their pet because it’s so frigging difficult.
There is also other MMOs that gives players option to not show mounts, pets, toning down battle effects etc.I think this could be great move from ZOS if something like that would be added for the players to choose by themselves.

I did that kind of thing in other MMOs I've played, but I learned not to in ESO pretty early. I guess your experiences may have been different, but mine were more trouble than they were worth.

There was a thread sometime last year requesting that players dismiss their assistants in dungeons and the reaction of "lolwut" was just as common as any other. It's a sign of the times.

This should be really easy to fix, so I hope it's addressed sooner than later.

Storm attronachs only last 15 seconds. Can't say as I have ever had this type of blocking issue from one of them.

Just thought of the answer. Change the scamp to a chub loon and make the Twilight a hummingbird.

    Nice and small.

And loads of fun to watch them kick buttz.
