Question: Can Evolving your Indrik be saved for later?

Something I havent seen addressed is whether or not you can save your berries and evolve your indrik at another time.

I have the nascent Indrik, and just acquired the 4th Dawnwood berry. However I want to wait and see if I will like one of the other colors better OR if I will be able to get enough tickets throughout the year to possibly get all 4 indrik evolutions.
What I want clarified is whether or not we can wait and evolve our indrik whenever as long as we have all 4 berries, or if the ability to evolve our indrik goes away when the berries do.

When you evolve, the base one is removed. Thus you have to re-earn all four feathers again I do believe.

I can't test it because I've already got the Dawnwood Indrik (it's the one I really wanted so I wasn't going to wait) but I think as long as you have the berries you'll be able to evolve them any time. The restriction is on what the Impressario sells, so it seems pretty pointless for ZOS to also disable the berries later on. (I mean, this would require someone actually taking the time to program that restriction and then it's one more thing which needs testing and could go wrong - why bother when there's already a simple way to time limit them by removing the berries from the merchant?)

In theory you could get the nascent indrik, 4 sets of feathers and 4 sets of berries and then evolve them all in one go at the end. (You'd need to keep the feathers on different characters/in different storage chests because they're unique items but that's easy to do.)

However once you've got the berries there is literally nothing you can do with them except evolve a nascent indrik. So IMO there's no point saving more than one set. If the Dawnwood is your least favourite then I understand keeping the nascent so you can get the others sooner and then using the Dawnwood berries at the end if you've got enough tickets/feathers/indriks, but I wouldn't save any more than that.

(I might do that next time actually, if I'm able to get the gold berries but I'm sort of feathers to make another nascent afterwards. The gold is the one I like least but if I end up getting the black, white and keeping a nascent I'd like to have the full set so I might save the berries until then.)

That's what I'm doing as the green one is the one I'm least interested in. Wait to see if I get enough feathers before evolving to Dawnwood.

Yeah, that was my thought as well. Why would they disable the ability to use the berries?

I just wanted to ask. I like the Dawnwood, but I like the Golden, or maybe the white one better. Ideally I want all 4, but I dont want to shoot myself in the foot on this.

My current plan is to just bank the dawnwood berries and continue to get tickets as much as possible. One would think that each coming event will offer the chance for at least 20 tickets. That would allow for 1 feather, and 1 berry to be obtained each event.
Which would mean as long as youre thorough with getting 20 tickets each event, youll be able to get all 4 evolved indriks...

I dunno, we will see of course, but I am glad I am not the only one looking to hold off on actually evolving my indrik for the time being.

I just want the base, dusk, and dawn versions. My goal is to ride on the dusk and dawn ones, one under each foot, while channeling the Azura memento.
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

Wow, somehow I hadn't even thought about the names, but since 3 of my characters names reference dawn and two of them at least follow Azura the Dawnwood Indrik does seem especially appropriate.

    Yes.

There is no time limit on using Berries to evolve your Nascent Indrik. At least... not yet.

The Dawnwood Indrik is the ugliest of the five, in my opinion.

Nevertheless, I collected all four Dawnwood Berries for future use. I have also collected two additional sets of Feathers. I intend to collect the four Luminous Berries and possibly the four Onyx as well.

However, after six months of grinding quests to get to the point of one version of an Evolved Indrik... I have completely lost interest in any Indrik mount at all.

Perhaps the next Impresario mount will be interesting.

The berries can be saved for later, but they cannot be saved for future different ones. The berries received from this quarter are made only for the Dawnwood, nothing else. If you tried to use them during a different quarter, it will still be a Dawnwood, so saving them is pointless. Each quarter will have different berries, I don't know why people seem to think otherwise.

The sole reason to collect Dawnwood Berries and not use them is in case you change your mind and decide you want the Dawnwood Indrik later on.

Read the topic more carefully - no one thought the dawnwood berries could be used to make a different indrik later on. The OP was asking if they could be used later on - to make the dawnwood indrik - so they could save their current nascent indrik to evolve into a different colour and then use the dawnwood berries only if they have enough tickets to get all 5.

If someone (like the OP) already have a nascent indrik, 4 dawnwood berries and no additional feathers their options are either to evolve the nascent into the dawnwood indrik, then get another 80 tickets to get another evolved indrik or, save the berries and need just 40 tickets to get another evolved indrik.

it doesn't give the dawnwood berries any other use or benefits, but it does make your next indrik cheaper.

Thank you all for the responses. I feel a lot more confident that saving the berries for later is the correct choice for me, and absent an official statement to the contrary, it seems safe to assume the berries can be used at a later date to evolve the Dawnwood Indrik, should that be the one I want and I cant obtain sufficient feathers for more Nascent Indriks.

I really like the Indrik mounts, so I hope that the rest of the events this year will allow us to get 1 feather and 1 berry per event!

I think I'm going to do the same thing with the gold indrik. :)

I've got the dawnwood and nearly got the 4th feather to create another nascent (I don't think I want the pet or any of the kitchenware skins). But I don't really like the gold one, I'd only want it to complete the set. So I think I'm going to just keep collecting feathers and berries and wait to see if I'll be able to get all the rest before evolving it. Risks wasting 10-30 tickets on berries of course, but better than getting an indrik I don't like and missing one I do.
