How are you supposed to complete the PvP Pie Achievement without organized groups?

I went into Cyrodiil tonight to try and knock a few of the ten required off. I got into several fights, had 7 pies to use. When I stopped trying I had 3 pies left and even though I was defeating players none of them counted. I even saw in chat that there was an organized "Pie Fight" going on somewhere and another roaming group of fellow reds came and ruined it for them by wiping the enemy players. Much salt ensued.

I wonder if ZOS implemented this achievement thinking it would be a great idea, but didn't actually test it.

    Anyone know if IC/Sewers counts?

This is what they do with pretty much everything.

After thinking about it, maybe organizing with a guild was the point.

Nah, who am I kidding, they don't think that far ahead.

I didn’t need to organize with a big group - simply asked around my guilds, found someone from a different alliance also interested in the achievement, and we each killed each other with pie 10 times. Took 20 minutes, and only because of having to run back to the meeting place each time after being killed.

Not enough pies, pie timer is way to short. Can't do in battlegrounds.

It's just bad game design. Just go do it with at least group of 4.

Worst part of this is that jester festival was aimed at pve casual players. And all of the sudden we have a pvp achievement slapped into this event that seems to be harder to get than emperor assassin.

It would have not been a problem if assist dmg / kills would also count. What is wierd is there is another 50 points achievment "The Three Fillings War" (Throw 10 Pies at players that are in a different Alliance) that does not even require you to go to cyro.
It is also worth noting that during pvp event "Midyear Mayhem" they changed conditions on some IC sewers achivement because for the same reason (it was one porson who was getting the achivemnet because of the "killing blow" requirement). They changed it DURING the event last time so dmg assist / kill counted too.

Not to mention this is virtually impossible to get if you are running support build in pvp (tank / healer). Once again we are geting achivement that is only obtainable if you are running burst dps ganker build... And even then it is still a lottery...

I got 3 in 10 minutes solo. I just followed a group, and when they clashed with another group I threw pies and impaled people.
Cost: 15 pies, got 3 kills. We still have 11 days left.
Else try with friends or in a group.
People have more then enough pies and days to get the achievement. But somehow people become stressed on the first day to get a unimportant achievement which they probably also want to first day.
And because it is PvP, (PvP already has little events), one little PvP achiement people get even more rabid.

Easiest way to get it is grab someone from your alliance then 2 ppl from another alliance, meet up take turns killing and having 2 from each alliance you can Rez each other so no travel times. Shouldn’t be hard to find 3 willing ppl.

There are more then enough pies man. It's really not that of a shame to help other people.

Yeah, i know only the killing blow counts. I just went into cyrodill and now have 6/10. It's really not that hard.
It's called an achievement for a reason.

Organized a pie party outside my girlfriend’s allied keep while me and another guildie took turns killing and being killed by her to get this one. It’s just too much of a pain to do the “legit way” especially since the damn thing force-sheaths weapons which will murder you mid-combat

I don't like this achievement. Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a fun and interesting idea on paper, but when you're being chased by a 30 AD zerg half way across Cyrodiil while tossing pies at you, things turn a little salty.
Normally if that many players spot me, only a few will break off to chase, not the entire herd. They were absolutely relentless.

If people don't like the achievement, why chase it and complain on forums. I don't like any achievements in trials, because i don't like trials or doing them. So i skip those and i don't care about those achievements anymore.

I like this achievement. It's fun and it's doable within the limited timespan. It's good that PvP gets even a tiny bit of attention, even if it's a "PVE" event. It's one tiny achievement.

If you hate it but really want it, it's easy exploitable by having friends of opposite side dying for you as some people have already done it like that.

Even if it requires a group it is still extremely penalizing for support builds (tanks and healers). This is why I think this is poorly designed.

Look, we had that discussion with the Midyear Mayhem achievement for killing 50 players as well. There will always be someone who thinks his play style is treated unfairly. In the end, it comes down to whether you think the achievement is worth changing your approach for a week - or not.

^^ my guildies did this, the poor tank xD had to strip down and drop food and still took him ages to kill stamsorc. flip side, low cp that he was, very tanky, so wasn't able to return the favour and killed the magsorc instead xD the 4th guildy was pvp'er so no one was going to try to kill xD

I've got a guild running this together this weekend (meet in a specified location, have pie fight). We're PC/NA and I'm sure we could add a few members, so if you want to join you can PM me here or msg me in-game @AeiaTheHuntress (yes, that's an 'i' in Aeia).

We'll see if this solicitation ends up being a terrible idea...
