End Game Healers - I need your help!

End Game Healers - Im looking for some tips! My healer is pretty good, But im looking to maximize my potential to better serve my group. I can solo heal most content ive tried so far, But would like to do it with ease.

My main healer is:
- Argonian Templar, Max CP.
- I have SPC/Worm/Sanctuary/Mending/Olorime/Jorvulds/Twilight Remedy/IA. Usually run Olorime/Worm with Earthgore.
- Currently running 1 Spell Dmg Glyph, 1 Mag Recovery Glyph, 1 Potion Cooldown Glyph.
Absorb Mag Glyphs on my staves. Powered Restos/Charged Destros.
- Pics are my current stat sheets buffed and unbuffed.

I have a few questions:

- How much recovery is necessary? Do I have enough? Too much? Not enough? Ive seen healers with over 3k, And healers with 1200.

- What are your MUST HAVE skills? Im pretty well set up, But im open to change things to improve.

- Orbs, Shards, or both?

Any other tips you feel are vital, Throw them my way! 😁👍🏼

I've been working on a healer myself over the last months and can help you a little bit.

You have the sets, which are good. Bogdan's is another set you can consider.
I would say at the minimum have 2100 Mag recovery.
For the most part, all your stats look good, with the exception of Resistances. You may wish to use a different Mundas for that.
I run infused on both my weapons. Resto front bar, Lightning back bar with the Magicka return glyphs.

    As for skills:
    Front bar:
    Combat Prayer
    Ritual of Retribution
    Healing Springs
    Energy Orb
    Channeled Focus (Rune Focus)
Ulti: Nova (Solar Prison) or Barrier (Morph that also heals)

    Backbar:
    Breath of Life
    Elemental Blockade
    Elemental Drain
    Shards
    Sun Shield or Annulment
    Ulti: Aggresive Warhorn
Far too many characters to list any more.

I generally shoot for 2k mag regen and 2k spell damage unbuffed, so you're looking in fairly good shape. If you're running the Ritual Mundus, then you can afford to drop your spell damage by a little bit, since you have additional healing done bonuses. The general rule of thumb is to shoot for enough sustain that you can comfortably maintain your magicka in a fight, and then from there you can focus on other stats like spell damage, max magicka, etc.

Must have skills: Energy Orbs, Illustrious Healing/Healing Springs, Combat Prayer, Extended Ritual, Channeled Focus, Elemental Drain, Elemental Blockade, Luminous Shards, Aggressive Warhorn, Solar Prison

The above skills must be in your set-up somewhere in most fights. There may be some exceptions (e.g. if you have all NB DPS, then Combat Prayer is not necessary).
    PC/NA - Mayflower, Hellfire Dominion

Dro-m'Athra Destroyer - Divayth Fyr's Coadjutor - Voice of Reason - Gryphon Heart - The Unchained - Extinguisher of Flames

Tank - Healer - DPS (all classes, all specs)

I'm no healing expert but I have healed vet trials and the above is about what I run. I have Mending, Olorimes and Earthgore on at the moment. I use both shards and orbs - shards for tank, orbs for everyone else.

I've had people tell me that a trial healer shouldn't need BoL but every healer I know has it slotted for those holy carp moments, so I use it.

Your stats look fine (resistances will look better with Channeled Focus) and are pretty much on par for an end game build. Your recovery will vary depending on the content. For the final boss in vSO HM, you'll need to use blue mag/health food to bring yours down a bit so you don't get zapped by the mag-bomb mechanics. In others, you'll need more sustain to power through. A good healer is flexible enough to adjust their CP, skills, and sets to suit their team and the content.

One thing you can do to help your team is to add a shock glyph to your lightning bar. It'll help the dmg output of your DDs.

Orbs for the whole team, spammed liberally (resources providing), and shards for the tank, since you can toss it right to them. If you're running the Asylum or Master's resto, shards are also a great way to proc your Olorime in your back bar (with the Olo Lightning). It makes precise targeting of the proc much easier than doing it with your Springs on your resto bar. All in all, it sounds like you've worked hard on your character and it looks really good.

    Must-have skills:
    Energy Orbs
    Healing Springs
    Combat Prayer
Mutagen (great way to pop a HoT onto someone who is kiting or just got too far from group)
    Luminous Shards
    Lightning Blockade
Extended Ritual (extra synergy for Alkosh tanks + AoE HoT) or Efficient Purge (preferred in some instances, like vMoL and vHoF)
Honor the Dead (Breath of Life heals 2 ppl, but only half value for the second person. HtD costs less than half what BoL does, so popping it twice is still more cost efficient and you get a better heal between the two. Only for emergencies)
Elemental Drain- must be this one and not Susceptibility, for the passive sustain it gives
    Ultis:
    Aggressive Warhorn
    Solar Prison
Sometimes Barrier or Light's Champion in 4 person content
    Extras/Situational:
Power of the Light (for Templars)
    Overflowing Altar
    Bone Shield
    Ward Ally

Thanks for the tips everyone! My resistances vary depending on the trial, I change my CP depending on what were working on at the time. I also use channeled focus. Most of the skills people have listed are the things I run. Glad to know im pretty on par with what I should be doing!

It looks like you run the same glyph on both bars. Since they share a cooldown, that's unlikely to do much more for you than running the glyph on one bar.

Potion Cooldown glyphs are not that great, I would go with 3 magicka recovery / spell damage glyphs, this is because we use potions more for the passives than the magicka itself, and we already have 100% uptime with just alchemy passives, this also makes you actively lose recovery if you want to make the smart choice and hold potion for a drain mechanic, as for arbsorb magicka, if you make a choice to invest into sustain this is the worst one, as the value loss compared to sustained gained is the worst. A lot of tanks lost crusher uptime with update 21, so infused chrusher front or back bar is going to help your group more in most situations, if not spell damage glyphs are more powerfull and useful. And as a 3rd choice there are things like weakening which will suffer no mather what this patch and will have an impact on less experienced groups.
