I'm assuming that the ticket price is a typo..ya know..250 crowns each instead of 25 crowns each...I mean what other explanation would there be for such blatant overpricing

Yeah I'm going to have to spend about $50 after I get all tickets from this even to finally get Dawnwood Indrik and pet. Makes me reconsider doing it at all, especially since the mount is bugged to hell.

    250 crowns per ticket?

So that makes it 10,000 crowns for a nascent indrik, 20,000 crowns for an evolved form and 1,250 for a single weapon style, if you're only using tickets purchased from the store.

I don't remember what outfit styles typically cost but for comparison the most expensive mount previously was the elk, for 4,500 crowns. So just under 1/4 what an evolved indrik costs.

Hopefully this is an answer to the question of whether this is a catch-up mechanism for people who are just short of tickets or a way of buying the mounts directly. I can't imagine they seriously intend anyone to just buy them at those prices.

I think mainly it is meant as a catch-up mechanism, which they are greedily cashing in on. Luckily, I do all the events, so should be able to generate enough tickets for what I want.

For those that care about the Indriks:

There are two issues with the way the event ticket/berry/feather mechanics work that seem designed to push you to use tickets on things you may not want, and which make timing/planning of your resources essential in the upcoming events.

It's easier to go at these issues by presenting the solutions, then what they solve.

    1. Remove the ticket cap.
    - This system is *extensively* reliant on tickets. (360 for all unlockable mounts)
    - The *events* are already capped on how many tickets we can earn. Let us earn them.
    - We may even participate more if we're not capped; some folks stopped running events when they got to 12/12.
    - We wouldn't be forced to buy something we don't want, simply to get rid of tickets to make room for... more tickets.
    - We can buy when we're ready. No need to monitor which berries/feathers we've already bought, no need to take up item slots with unique items.

    2. Remove the quarterly dump of the berry fragments.
    - Say you've bought 3/4 berries you need for an evolution, but you're unable to attend the final event of the quarter. You're on the hook for 30 tickets spent - and you'll never be able to use those berries.
    - Why is it now/never? This sense of immediacy isn't necessary. If we have tickets to spend, let us buy in the order we like.

We're being pushed to spend the 12 tickets we have as fast as we can. At some point, we're going to be up against the end of a quarter and not have the perfect combination of tickets/feathers/berries to unlock whichever mount. Which, of course, means you'll turn to the crown store to use real money to buy your way out of this situation. When looking at the big picture, this feels like the whole point. And that's a bit cringy.

    Hey folks,

Some clarification on the Event Ticket pricing - we want in-game event participation to be the primary source for earning Event Tickets and their corresponding rewards, but we recognize that sometimes life happens and players miss events. The option to purchase Event Tickets from the Crown Store is intended as a catch-up mechanic for those who missed out on opportunities to earn them through event participation. We don’t want to devalue the time and effort invested to get Event Tickets (and their Nascent Indrik), and have priced them in the Crown Store with that in mind.

@ZOS_SarahHecker - wouldn't it be better to remove the ticket cap and remove the dump of the berries?

That would allow us to earn as many tickets as the events allow (they're already capped) and buy our berries whenever we can/want.

That justification is bordering on the insulting, considering that since there's a cap on tickets stored, even those who haven't missed a day, and don't need to catch up for their berries/pet, will still have probably enough tickets left over for only 2-3 style pages. And since these drops are rng-based, people can only get them via tickets (or with gold from others, depending again on whether others drop them and want to sell them). With that in mind, the ticket pricing seems a bit absurd to say the least.

I agree with your concerns, which I and others have also expressed. The main problem is the extremely small cap in event tickets we can hold. They are offering other things to spend those tickets on, but it's still going to be difficult to manage. Do I buy yet another feather after I have both the mount and pet, or do I spend a few on some outfit pages, knowing I won't get them all from the stupendous boxes. But, what if I buy a page I'm missing only to end up getting it in a box afterward. Sure, I can trade it to another player, but I could have used those tickets on a different page. Towards the end of the Jester's Festival, I will be faced with this dilemma.

And, during the Anniversary event of 5 weeks, 2 tickets each day, we're looking at 70 tickets. Sure, there will be outfit pages we can spend them on, but again, I'd hate to waste tickets on a page I might get later or could buy from another player later if I needed it. With the small cap on tickets we can hold, we're all going to end up wasting tickets if we start spending excess on pages while the event is still going and we have plenty of opportunities to earn them from the boxes. Sure, we could just buy extra feathers, but I already have a second Nascent Indrik and 2 feathers toward a third. At some point, just buying extra feathers will be a waste.

I didn't expect the event tickets to be anything less than 100 crowns and so 250 doesn't surprise me. If you're just short a few tickets, then buying a few isn't that expensive, and the catch-up mechanism is plausible (and I think part of the intention). However, why such a limited cap on the number of tickets we can hold? It seems plausible that part of the intention for that is so that players might have to end up buying tickets when they otherwise wouldn't if they'd be allowed to hold on to more tickets.

For myself, and others like me who have no interest in the Indrik mount, events can be frustrating due to the ticket cap. I would like to have been able to save up more tickets for this jesters event, but have been at my ticket cap since they were introduced now! It would be really great if there was no cap, or if the cap were raised significantly. With such a low cap, I feel like people are going to be almost forced into purchasing more tickets at times...

I'm fine with the pricing of the Event Tickets, as in-game participation would be the primary means of obtaining them, and so players should only have to buy a few if they miss some days of an event.

But, if there weren't the small cap on event tickets, players could save them up to use during future events and might not have to buy event tickets. Some still would, if they haven't been able to participate enough to earn enough tickets for all the berries, which will disappear entirely after the Jesters Festival ends. But, if they have enough for the Dawnwood Indrik, and the pet, and don't want to waste extra tickets on outfit pages, why not let them hold onto them for future events, rather than force them to spend them or lose them, only to come up short later and have to spend tickets in the CS?

If in-game participation is the primary way to obtain event tickets, then why the small cap on the number of tickets we can hold or why any cap at all? Perhaps there is concern that players just won't participate in future events if they've earned enough to get what they want later down the road, so the cap is a way to get people to keep doing all the events. But, it's too restrictive and forces players to stop doing events if they're at cap or spend them on things they don't want so that they can earn more.

I find the whole ticket, berries, multiple colours, etc... system way too complicated for nothing. Why not just make it one single type (plain tickets), and being able to buy the mount and all upgrades for a certain amount of tickets? Just make it work the same way writ vouchers do. Having a ticket cap would take care of preventing people from stockpiling them, until they purchase the item or upgrade.

I never really cared about that mount in part because trying to understand the whole system sounded like a waste of time to me back when it was introduced. I suspect a lot of other players feel just as confused about the whole thing.

Let me know if cadwell’s Pages can be earned with regular boxes or just stupendous boxes. If it’s regular boxes people will grind Alts through it until they get all the pages, no need to buy tickets. If it’s stupendous boxes only for Cadwell’s pages then rng may force you to buy tickets before the event finishes.

I don't abuse obvious exoploits, I did what would have been expected of a customer and reported the issue.
My expectation was people who got it at the incorrect price would have it removed from their accounts, or ZOS would leave the price as it is because they messed up and it was too late to take them all back.

However neither of those expectations came to realisation, which once again goes to reinforce (sadly) exploiting in ESO can get you ahead with little consequence.
