✭✭Thank you both of you. Yes Jerall mountains. I am horrible with names @Neoealth . Connect the dots, never thought of that @HappyLittleTree greatly appreciated. Is that the only time that happens or does that happen in other quests as well? Just so I know not to think of it as something else.
Running into naked players? No that is not a common event to run into on quests.
I seem to recall the naked thing kind of starting during the beta. On the last of the beta a lot of players would gather in the capital cities and strip down for the last hour or so for an end of beta party.
As others have said the highlighted plants are tracking quest. There are a few others. What I do is when I'm crouched I try to look a few plants ahead then run to those before crouching to pick up the next segment of the trail. It saves a bit of time and stamina plus lets me see enemy NPCs better.0 -

Question on the BOT thing. Many years ago I was a big gamer on PC, main game was the Delta Force Series by Novalogic. There were players that modified their executable file to be unkillable, it was called "GOD Mode." Novalogic ran a program that reviewed everyone's exe file as the entered the server, anyone that had a modified file was not allowed in. Also, if a player entered the server, then attempted to run one of these, the server would identify it, and automatically boot them. I'm curious if this would work with those creating these BOTs.0 -

...and are we all wishing just now we had gotten a quest that? Where its not the blade of woe that brings about an successful assassination, but groundwork, infiltration and a defty stranglehold in the bathhouse... though I suppose making those sort of stories -believeable- depends too much on details of character appearance to be easily made universally playable for everyone... (though I suppose they -could- make a distinction of "male characters, infiltrate as wresting partner, female characters as bath assistant", not like it would work in every case, my fried face assassin girl would not win any points for a pretty face after all. Not from her bad side anyhow!)
It can be. When you find the normal questing boring and want some new spice...Also, that Naked and Afraid challenge sounds fun.
Some games even have quests like that too, where you get dropped on a map with your inventory locked, "naked and afraid" have to fight battles to "recover" your gear (aka, unlock the stuff you have equipped for use) ESO... not so much. Not yet anyhow. I always found those maps quite interesting, a break in the "just murderboat everything in our path" drudge of endgame questings, but... only when they are not overutilized.1
