Establishing a guild trader (PC EU)

I am in a PvP guild on PC EU. The GM has asked me whether it is possible to establish a guild trader. I have told him "no" and that trade guilds are extremely competitive and better run as dedicated guilds with a membership who are interested in trade. All the same, I am wondering whether it's possible to establish a trader in an out of the way location and take it from there. I would start by selling off some valuable items from the guild bank, which I am hoping will break even for a few weeks, as the profits would go back to the guild. The idea would be to make sure they are listed on Tamriel Trade Center.

I would not like a trader in an outlaw refuge, but one in the middle of nowhere, but next to a wayshrine. How much should I bid on one of those?

When you bid in an auction on eBay, the price you pay is the second highest (losing) bid, plus a small increment. Is this the same or do you pay the full bid that you made?

Can you bid on multiple traders? What happens, if you do and you win more than one?

You can't bid on multiple traders. You pay the full bid you made. Unsure about pricing since the NA and EU servers have different levels of trader competition.

If you do go for an out of the way trader use Tamriel Trade Centre & it's add-on to both get prices and list them on the site to get some visibility and idea of what prices you need to get customers

Current pricing on PC EU will get you at 500-700k for semi-backwater spots, like Shimmerene, Sadrith Mora. Balmora, Malabal Tor or Greenshade would probably cost you around 1-2mil to secure a spot for a week (didn't check those for a long time). After that the price goes steeply to 3-5 mil for spots in capital cities, with Deshaan and Craglorn way out of anyones league (10-20 mil bids). Of course, these prices will probably double during Anniversary event and a few weeks afterwards.

Thank you all. Does anyone know PC EU prices for those single traders in complete backwaters, such as Nimalten in the Rift?

Also, what happens when you lose a bid? Do you get a refund or do you never get charged in the first place?

80k in the tier 5 locations should cover cost
