There's grind behind grind behind grind to get to a level where you can actually compete with others in PvP. I'll just list a few examples of stuff you have to grind because you can even start being competitive in PvP:
    • CP 810, probably the most important and most grindy aspect of getting into PvP.
    • Item sets; you're really screwed if you want Maelstrom or Dragonstar arena weapons, or trial gear.
    • Upgrade resins and etc to get equipment all to gold.
    • Grinding skills and then morphs to max.
    • Grinding storyline quests for skillpoints.
    • Hunting skyshards and lorebooks.
    • Getting Undaunted to 10 so you have the max stat passives.
    • Farming reagents such as Corn Flower to make potions.
    • Buying recipes, food materials, and then making the right foods for your build.
    • And the list goes on...

Does not matter how much skill you have, if you fail to grind our all of these things before hand, you will lose against an average player who has done all of it. I find the never-ending grind to be competitive very dissatisfying, and losing in PvP just feels bad, like you've wasted so much time. Additionally to that, there are over performing abilities, like spin-to-win builds and dragon knights with permanent up time of reflective scales. I came back at the start of the week, and honestly I'm ready to quit ESO again. Just my honest opinions and my experience with the game I've played on and off for years.

When it works properly, I love PVPing with friends.

When its plagued by lag, bugs, and persistent performance issues that make it hard to PVP with my friends, I'm much less satisfied.

Dissatisfied with the balance but I still have fun with it sometimes especially cyrodil with a good zerg.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

Game is laggy and almost unplayable all players teleport and fights are based on who ever has the first 5 second freeze. Crazy big zergs still run and faceroll the whole map aoe caps didn’t help and nothing ever will.

This is MMORPG , that's the point of it, to play and make a progress, to develop your characters if you don't like those aspects why do you even play this game? The only thing I don't like is undaunted guild which is locked behind time gate, everything else you mentioned is total bs, these are core attributes of RPGs. If you want instant fights against enemies go play some FPS.

As mentioned before, when there is no lags PvP in ESO is epic, that's why I'm just satisfied, when we will have major bugs fixed I'll be very satisfied.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

The performance issues, server issues, and bug issues really kills it for me. Cyrodiil in this game is amazing when it works! It's too bad such experiences is so few and far between.

Edit: I wish they put more care into PVP like they do with PVE... or the crown store for that matter lol.

Apart from some annoying people (I know it's an MMORPG) it's the lag and loading screens that get me.

    Load screens:
Die in battle, respawn at tent, long load screen, you are dead when the screen loads.
Ride into a keep under attack, load screen appears, you are dead when the screen finally loads.

    Lag:
Being hit and killed before the game responds to your first input.
Game slowing to 2-3 FPS in a large battle.
    Australian on PS4 NA server.
    Everyone's entitled to an opinion.

That couldn't be further from the truth. Skill trumps all. I would bet real money on it. Take a skilled player with 160 CP that doesn't have everything leveled. Put him in cheap overland drops bought from the market or crafted. He/she will wipe the floor of an average player that is max CP. It wouldn't be close.

Overall I like the game. I am dissatisfied with keep sieges, mainly when defending. It's too easy to take a keep. Defenders should have the advantage, and they currently don't.

Most of what you listed is simply 'playing the game'. Is there Anything that you would Not consider to be 'a grind' ?

As far as PvP goes, in ESo, I can honestly say, that in four years of playing ESO, No character of mine has ever been defeated in PvP.

PvP can be a lot of fun but the bugs and lag make Cyro seem so broken sometimes.

I can’t see it being improved any time soon though.

I don’t agree you need to be fully levelled and geared - although it can’t hurt - player skill can compensate for a lot.

Pretty much everything mentioned in this list has nothing to do with the design of PvP. You are complaining about the game itself, not PvP.

If you are going to complain about PvP, complain about PvP. However, based on your comment this just might not be the game for you, or even genre.

Coming from someone who generally hates pvp in most games, its actually very fun in ESO. The idea of pvp not centered around "just kill the other person" and there are other goals makes it more enticing. Sometimes my girlfriend and I run around cyrodil taking resources from the other factions keeps. We find it funny to be annoying. Plus, its pretty satisfying when you take a keep from another faction. Lag does get a bit silly, but its not unbearable. I am not sure what thing you guys play on, but we generally play on the non-cp one. I forget its name. This helps with making things a bit more even we feel.
