How do you define a proc?

I suppose you could run Slimecraw, hundings/julianos, Leviathan/Mother's Sorrow. That would be 0 procs and pretty decent DPS.

Slimecraw/Hunding's/Spriggans or Slime/Hulking/Sprig. I personally find proc sets cheesy.

Sometimes I run dreugh King Slayer, slimecraw and Leviathan on my stamplar, 2 heavy/transmuted jewelry, front bar Leviathan. Works all right, though since they changed khajiit weapon crit chance to crit hit damage, I run rally and use VO.

Good PvE sets tend to have a monster set which is usually a proc set. So few good builds will not include a proc.

However, good PvE builds do not utilize sets with a chance to proc something beyond the monster set since better dps can be obtained without the chance to proc something.

However, as someone has asked, define what you mean by a proc sets. There are sets that guarantee something to happen such as Moondancer guarantees to get a buff when activating a synergy. That can be considered a proc set so definition that is not so generic is helpful.

Depends on the proc set too. I like Livewire in my mDK (PvP), because it provides concussion, a debuff I cannot get easily. It is not a game changing mechanic and to make use of it I need to pair it with a specific skill (wall of elements)

I think plenty of PVPers do. For example, a stam setup could have Hulking Drauger, Hundings, 1 chudan, 1 Domi.

Utilizing 1 piece monster sets can provide a lot of different stats.

PvP Stamblade: Agility jewels, Hundings body medium(Currently farming BP to swap out), Balorgh 2 pc heavy (sometimes swap to 1 kena/1 domi or Kraags), Asylum 2 Hand, Master's Bow

PvP Stamden: BP, Shacklebreaker 4 medium w/heavy chest, Bloodspawn head heavy shoulders medium.

I know almost all monster sets are technically proc sets, but Balorgh's is a conditional self-proc and BS is kinda the lesser of the proc evils.

My solo set has 3 proc sets lol. Night mothers and knightmare proc constantly and I use selenes for monster set.

Honestly I find proc sets make combat fun. I like seeing the extra spell effects like my giant green spectral bear shredding things.

It is pretty hard to get away with a good build in PvE that has no proc sets. BSW, SS, AY, MA/WM, Rele, Siroria, most monsters, Alkosh, IA, and Olo are all extremely ubiquitous. I enjoy proc sets. Some of them like BSW don't feel any different than a set like Julianos and are quite reliable with the added benefit of having their proc carry to your backbar if you use them on one bar. Proc sets that require specific input like Vykosa/Alkosh for example can be quite entertaining and essentially give you some extra stuff to do in combat.

Yeah, I prefer max stats to procs personally. If I'm not wearing slimecraw, I'm wearing 2 max stat monster pieces, like Domihaus + Selene.
I find the damage to be comparable, if not better, and obviously sustain is a lot easier when you've got a 50k resource pool. Not to mention the fat heals.
Back when proc sets could crit, didn't really telegraph and do outright damage instead of DoTs, it was hard NOT to use them because they were so good, but it's a different story now.

Do you count sets like Spell Strategist as proc ?
Or 100% uptime / 100% trigger chance do not count as proc ?

I don't have anything against sets like that, or blood spawn, for example, but I'd still count them as proc sets. A proc can be anything that boosts armor, damage, healing, or initiates random damage under certain conditions.
Sets like slimecraw and chudan wouldn't be as they are passive, if that makes any sense.

Still gathering pieces on live, but I tested Twice-Born Star, Bone Pirate, and 1 piece Domihaus/1 piece Kra'gh for a werewolf on the PTS and it worked great for me in PVE. Lots of resources and still get a bump in weapon damage from being able to use both Lover and Warrior mundus.

Sorry, Necro is also a proc set, though on NBs is more noticeable.

I only use bloodspawn as a '' proc '' set, never any damage one because I want to kill players myself in stead of my armour doing the damage for me.
That's pvp wise, pve I don't really care.
