Fps issues with gamepad mode

Been having terrible fps drops (down to around 12) every time i loot anything or get in longer fights.
After fiddling around with settings and reading a billion fps tip videos, I realised the issue only happens when I use gamepad mode.
Sadly I have to use gamepad mode due to problems with my wrist, is there any solution to these drops?
