Picking up loot from trash adds mid combat

This is an issue I’ve been having for a while now. On console the X button is used for dodge roll (block and X). It is also used for jumping. While also being the interaction button.
This causes issues in fast combat trying to dodge roll results in searching the bodies of fallen adds.
This can be life or death in PvP when you are at Bruma for instance. Where there are adds all over the ground waiting for you to pick up the 127 gold on the ground
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

✭✭✭✭✭I play with a controller and I have the same issue (not to mention constantly jumping whenever I'm trying to interact with something, or starting fishing if I'm riding somewhere and try to jump over a river, etc., it's erm interesting

Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
Are you trying to press the two buttons simultaneously or do you stagger them? My guess is that you're going for simultaneous, and sometimes your X button registers before your block button, so the game registers that as a request to interact with an object. On Xbox I tend to press and short hold my LT to block, and press A a split second after pressing LT. It's still a quick, fluid action on my part so it's not clunky at all. The A button always registers second that way, so it ends up animation cancelling a block instead of initiating a jump or an object interaction.1 -
