Should I switch from red guard to orc as a stam dk?

I do both pvp and pve I have been mostly doing pvp lately because I don’t have much time and can hop in a BG or 2 for a little while rather than trying to get a trial going but I was just wondering if you think that extra damage is worth the switch?

✭Since you're asking this question, I asume that you're not a super experienced player so you're doing top DPS.
So play whichever race you like, it won't make a difference unless you where pursuing leaderboard scores and where already at DPS limit.2 -

I’m decently experienced I’m at 35k dps. Which isn’t top dps but it’s good. Im just wondering if orcs extra damage makes a significant difference I mean 250 damage is like upgrading from purple to gold so I am leaning towards going orc though I’ll loose sustain.

For most people it will be less than few hundreds dps

FatelessLava✭✭✭Realistically with the changes to the races, the dps difference is less than 1k as Morgul said. Redguard has the best sustain orc has more damage. Was khajiit before still khajiit now, I just had to rework some cp around since they got more crit damage. All Stam races are very close to each other in numbers regardless. Same goes for magic.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭no, Redguard has better sustain that Orc and DK lack.
--(DK has the worst sustain out of all classes and its abilities cost more then every other class except for templar but that's not really accurate as templar has great resource restore skills and embers low cost skew the numbers)--
you would end up swapping out damage for sustain somewhere else such as an enchant or mundus and then the decision is moot anyway.
if however you WANT to be an Orc and will have more fun, go for it. but stats wise its not really worth it. this is a choice of what you WANT to play.
unrelated fact NB has the lowest combined skill costs and best resource sustain of all classes LOL (Warden might be a tiny bit ahead in cost because betty costs nothing and once again skews numbers, if you were to remove a single outlier skill per class NB is the best and DK is the worst.)Edited by Wing on March 19, 2019 3:06AMESO player since beta.

Valldez✭✭✭i have both, in pvp i prefer orc for the mobility because i play in coodinated group. in pve i prefer redguard for the stamina sustain..
and i use full costume with helm to hide the orc face and the wiggling guild tabard..

But tbh, on a stam dk you can sustain an Orc just fine. It's not just the damage that is great from Orc in BGs, it's the sprint cost reduction and speed. You save SO much stamina when sprinting. I can really feel the difference when I switch from my Orc to Redguard.

I tried to cover mine with long hair cosmetics. Did not help. In fact, it made him look worse. He looks like a pig from a shampoo commercial now.

ochsinator✭✭✭Because I have been playing more pvp lately than pve I switched to orc and there was a noticeable different in gameplay felt I was hitting harder and surviving better. But I could see how redgaurd sustain could be better in pve0
