I'd like more character slots. I'd like the option to spill some of the grind (mainly skyshards, recipes, and motifs) onto alternate characters.

After that... not really. Class changing a character doesn't really teach you how to play the new class, so you'd be better off rolling up a new one anyway.

I mean, it'd be nice if the extra character slots were cheaper, but it's not like that's a dealbreaker.

Hmmm. Interesting, but there is an aspect of fun in revamping old toons, there is always a way in which a class can be useful, somehow.

Fiddling around with skills, load-out and attributes to get something that works.

Also, it WAS a grind to make a new toon but now - with all the universal tri-pots and the XP scrolls that are piling up in everyone's inventory - it's a 2 to 4 day process to make a new toon, grind the levels. You can grind now just do 10 or so random BGS to get your AP up to where you need it, the only thing that is still a grind is your mages guild, IMO.

Not only that, if they DID release a class change token, it'd surely be 3500 crowns, so either way I wouldn't have access to it.

Just make a new char - it is not that hard to relevel a new one.

They wouldn't bother me if they were added but at the same time I don't require them.

I made a stamsorc back when they were good in pve because of sets like Sunderflame and NMG. After they nerfed them into the ground, I don't touch my stamsorc anymore due to pretty much every other stam class having better sustain and utility. If they'd un-nerf those sets and give sorc some sustain back, i'd play it again, but I have no reason to now since my stamplar and stamblade are just all-around better now. I'd change my stamsorc to a stamwarden if I could.

It's one of the only things left that we can't respec in any way. I'd love to have the option added, but ZOS has said they can't do it. I read that as it's too much effort to do it because they must know they can monetize it. It's probably not worth it compared the the income they expect to generate from it.

There is no game breaking reason we can't have it. It doesn't give any pay to win edge. It's a time saver mostly. Any mechanical edge you could gain from a class change could be gained from just rolling up a new character. It would just take longer to do it that way. For OCD type players that go for achievements, it would allow more flexibility in their achievement hunting character. Certain classes will have advantages in certain areas. Also for achievement hunters, Warden (and soon Necromancer) can never be your main as you have too many achievements invested in a character released before those classes were even introduced.

As an alternative, unlocking achievements account wide would also solve this OCD issue for me personally so that would be fine too, though they seem to be against that one as well. It would probably be a messy implementation.

People keep asking because it's something they want. Keeping it a relevant topic can lead to changes at some point, even if it's not currently something ZOS wants to explore.

They will read the thread. A statement that they are not going to do it means they are not going to do it, that's all.

I'd rather have ZOS overhaul the Achievement Point system instead

Aside from them wanting you to spend as much time in-game as possible, and how this feature would circumnavigate that design, it could be abused. Think about when a new Update lands, or a new class arrives, and the more competitive (and financially able) players just buy into the new meta while everyone else has to go the normal leveling route. Some would definitely love that, but the have-nots would lose their minds on these forums, not to mention the bad press coverage elsewhere.

We already can....max toon for mag and stam versions of each class plus a dk and warden tank. 12. I've had it set for a longgggggg time. And that's on xbox! Did you think that we couldn't do this already??
