I thought I had complete so much.... but there are so many little things that I have missed. So much easy to track and complete now with the zone guide

its is good, it misses some of the misc quests however ran into some fishing, even if its fun finding quests in zones you did at launch.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

It's great for the Cadwell quests for sure, but for the side quests to complete everything you're still going to need an addon like Destinations to find some.

I thought I would be beyond using it with 15 maxed out characters but found it interesting, especially helpful as a console player.

When I looked at some maps with my most traveled and accomplished character, with Tamriel Hero and Cadwells silver/gold completed, it told me what I still hadn't done/found. When you are only missing 3 or 4 out of over 100 things to be done or found in a zone, I'm not sure there would be an easier way to find the missing things.

I'm now in danger of heading towards being a completionist.

Agree, I've also find some quest who are not in the zone guide.
Not a big problem it's still a very good tool, but yeah they forgot few of them.

Still not telling me what the missing 24th quest in Clockwork City is. I am stuck on 23.

Aside from that it is a welcome addition. I would like the option to toggle it on/off when I open the map though. I imagine that like the improved guild trader it is a work in progress and will be improved in future updates.

Did you build the Precursor? Other than that a couple of the easier to miss quests would be the license plate hunt (under the bridges in the west), the lost Orc sword (northish), and the mage's dog (to the east). Oh, and the missing brassilisk (under bridges over by the Imperfect in the south/southeast).

3+ years later I finally am making progess on cadwell sliver quests. I only truly appericated when I played with on live. It's makes things so much better. I imagine console it's even better with skyshards and such.

for me it misses the mark.

to have an arrow or help where a lorebook or skyshard is at instead of looking at some damn website would be way better.

I agree. Console versions are badly in need of this being implemented. Skyshards get easier to find with each proceeding character as do a number of lorebooks, but it's still a pita.

Even making them just appear account wide once one of your characters have stumbled upon the locations would be better than what we currently have. After all, your first run through, shards and books aren't really a ballache.

It's very helpful for Fishing, easier to click zone guide to see what fish you still need than scrolling around in the achievos.

Agreed. Or at the very least, have skyshards collected account bound so if you got every skyshards on one character, when you log into a new character, have a toggle option to show skyshard locations on the map. This should include lorebooks too.

Helpful for fishing and important lore books. I like it, it will help those who start now or that have started a few time back. I've been playing ESO for years so it's not super helpful to me since I've done/found it all. Congrats for the effort, I struggled a lot when I started more than 3 years ago.

Like other people said it's no good for quests because it only shows the main quests for the zone, so I'm still using the Quest Map addon for those. (I only turn it on when I think I've finished a map, so I can check if I missed any.)

But for other stuff it does make it easier to check what you've done, rather than hunting through all the different achievement categories.

It's a great start :) It's a lot easier to find main Alliance story quests and all of the breadcrumb quests leading to them. That said, I wish it integrated better with larger area quests and where they fit into the overall Alliance storyline. I've run into issues in both Deshaan and Shadowfen where the area quests gave either items that would be helpful or little plot hints that made the Alliance storyline make more sense. Shadowfen, for example, has a subset of keystone quests that are useful for the final Alliance quests. I'd only come across two before I finished the Alliance quests in the zone.

I'd like to see those quests interpolated better into the story flow of the zone.

I really like the story quest makers-- those are awesome! They make finding quest goals easier when one of the smaller side quests is in progress in the area.

I'm enjoying the zone guide quite a bit on my alts. I rushed them to max level and lost track of their zone progress months ago.

I really wish the had included an content timeline of some sort though. Something to put the zones in the proper order to keep the overarching storyline coherent from base game to current content.

I see no point. It doesn't show you anything we can't already find in the achievement tab except maybe the number of found wayshrines and crafting stations. It....shows those, doesn't it?

The moment I realized it doesn't point you towards side quests I was disappointed at how useless it is. Because that's what completionists want, to get everything done. And we already keep close track of progress with the achievement tab, and addons that list where the quests are so that we don't lose any. This should remove the need for said addons but it doesn't, so there is little point.

When I started playing I found myself picking every single quest I came across in the wild because that way I didn't run the risk of missing it should I never happen across that NPC again. This resulted in a crammed quest tracker, and when I decided to work on one I had no idea where I had picked it up or when, or who had given it to me. Using an addon came to show how easy it is to miss a quest in the farthest backwater of a map (and even smack in the middle) unless we have a way to know it's there. Even if we're trying our best to cram every request in our quest list. I'm still annoyed  that on my first character, after having thoroughly combed through Shadowfen and being sure I had nothing left behind, Destinations pointed me towards that quest with the wandering poison cloud in the middle of nowhere. I was so miffed that I still remember it years later  How could I have missed that???!?!?!121111

With Destinations I know I can start playing with an alt and it will show me exactly which parts of the map I have cleared and which quest hubs/sidequests are still waiting for me. So much easier. My only beef with the addon is that it only works for base game and the oldest DLCs. I wish it could cover every single quest in the entire game. THAT is what this advisor should do for it to be fully useful, and I do hope they expand upon it.

Number_51 you absolute star. It was the damned dog.

Now why couldn’t the Zone Guide at least tell me the names of the quests I HAD done (rather than simply telling me how many I had done). That would have been genuinely useful.

As a version 1 thing it’s fine, probably way better than fine for console users. But it has a long way to go to really compete with add ons.

      Still, Number_51 take a bow
