Quick recommendation for Crafted/guildstore set for PVE DPS Magplar?

I've recently completed all of my research for all crafting disciplines, and wanted to put together a good set of gear to start doing some harder content. To this point, I have basically just put together some stuff with an emphasis on +exp while I did main story quests and grinded for CP (currently I"m 680ish).

I"m playing a magicka templar (sticking close to alquast' beamplar setup) using staves. I have a Zaan or Skoria monster set that I would like to use, and that would leave me with 10 more spots to fill. Is the best way to comprise that of 2 5 piece sets? or is it not that simple.

I would like to keep all of this gear as either crafted or bought through the guildstore. Not trying to be perfect here, just would like an good all-purpose set to use for awhile.

Thanks for any help and/or recommendations.

Law of Julianos (Craft) and Mother's Sorrow (Purchase)

Edit: I'd personally go Julianos Body and Mother's sorrow Jewelery and Weapons. Then you can swap out body sets as you get better gear (BSW, Siroria, Etc.). Spell Strategist is also a guildstore option, but I personally don't like that set

You definitely want Mother’s Sorrow. With the 19% Crit Damage from the Shadow Stone and the 10% from Templar passives you’d be missing out on damage if you don’t get your Crit Chance over 60%.

If you don’t have a Maelstrom Inferno Staff, then Sorrow pairs very nicely with Julianos. If you do have the Maelstrom staff then you would want a better “front bar” 5 pc set. Something that carries over to the back bar like Burning Spellweave or Spell Strategist.

I do agree Law of Julianos (craft) or War Maidens (purchase) and Mother's Sorrow (purchase) to start out with..

I run Mother's Sorrow and Rattlecage (drop only) with Slimecraw or Ilambris (monster set).. and can solo most overland world bosses and do most non-vet dungeons with a single bar..
