Since the 1h enchantment nerf, competitive tanks are now forced to run lightning staff to keep crusher up via elemental blockade and offbalance.
Why are tanks forced to use a mage's staff for tanking? here is an idea:
Give the tanks the option to stay with a safer double 1h and shield, but have less group utility, or have a risk with a non tank weapon on backbar with more utility with out breaking their image as tanks, how?
TWO HANDED:
- Carve (Cleave morph): Buff this skill to apply minor maim, so this becomes the "heroic slash" of the 2H
- Wrecking Blow (Uppercut's useless morph that no one uses): Change this skill to it applies offbalance.
And thats it! If people want access to a ranged interrumpt, they can go lightning staff, just like now, but they will have the ability to decide if going 2H or lightning staff.
1h and shield and two handed weapon makes way more sense for tanking than 1h and shield + staff....
