Why are BGs STILL BROKEN?!

Everyday I am locked out of the character I want to play because at least once because of bugged BGs!
...and right now I'm being locked out of every toon.
Why isn't there a grace period or an auto-terminate feature that ends a match after 5 minutes of "waiting for players?"
It's not that complicated.

I entered a Battleground on my low MMR Templar with over 20 minutes left on my food buff, and it ran out before the game started (and I waited around even longer than that, alt-tabbed and web surfing). A total of 8 different teammates cycled through my team before I left, but it would never go beyond 3 players at any given time. The purple team had...I don't even know how many different players, but it was a lot. Their team would fill up to 4, then as some/all of them left, more would replace them quite quickly. Red, however, could never go beyond 2 players, so the game wouldn't start.

Just logged in after work. Queued for a random BG for the daily bonus. Found a group within just a few minutes and sat through a brief load screen. I was the first and only player on green team. I waited 10 minutes, watching the other teams fill full then disband. The game would not start. ZOS matchmaking could not understand the simple logic required to move 1 player from each of the other teams to my team, creating an even 3v3v3 match. I left the match, and was hit with a 20 minute penalty. So I am supposed to login and what? Watch my pet monkey pick his back for 30+ min just to attempt another queue? Nah, I logged out and went on to something else. This is really frustrating and not worth my time. ZOS, please fix your game or I will be unable to continue supporting it.

Xbox NA, and PS4 I believe, are fawked right now. Any activity with a load screen has a high chance of never loading. Considering you need nine people to load in to start a BG, it's rendering BG's unplayable right now.

broken bg bug isn't annoying as "someone declined" ***. funny thing is, it still exists and not a single fix on patch notes.

While I consider BGs that never start a more annoying thing than the decline spam - since you'll have to eat a 20 minute debuff if you leave the bugged match - I do agree that the constant declining can get old. A few days ago I had one queue require 15 tries before the match actually started, and a couple games later took 9. This may sometimes be due to premade teams trying to get queued in against each other, but I don't think that's super common for high MMR games on PC-NA right now.

There is still a bug where picking a pocket after accepting queue wil bug out the queue.

I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t seem to put you in if you are in the middle of picking a lock.

Same for me today. Waited 20min, then left the bg with penalty. Logged with other toon, and got the same game..... 30min wasted.

3v3v4 is not what was advertised.

Lopsided team numbers affect morale, stop them and reduce dropouts.

Because there's maybe 400 players at most doing bgs in each platform. Bg videos on youtube rarely get more than 1000 views. Bg streamers barely get any viewers.

You get the point. Not enough people play bgs for them to care.
