Yes. In vAS particularly it is the better morph. You need to keep the synergy close enough to the tank for Alkosh. Liquid Lightning is so small it will barely hit Olms from that location, and will definitely not damage Felms and Llothis.

The 6s timing on Flood also makes for an easier rotation on a single pet (Twilight) build. Just add in 6s Unstable Wall and 6s Daedric Prey, with 3 spammables between DoTs.

That being said, I think Liquid is usually the better morph if you are comfortable with a dynamic rotation. Especially in vCR, where voltaic overload traps you on one bar for 10s, Flood will drop early, Liquid will keep ticking for the duration.

Flood is also very difficult to sustain, since it is expensive and must be cast more frequently. IMO it could use a cost reduction.

I use it on all my Mag Sorcs. Recently the damage was buffed (I think 15%?) and it covers a larger area. Plus for me the duration fits well with my rotation. I have used Liquid Lightning as well but I prefer the larger area of Flood for mobs. Just comes down to personal choice really.

    I use Lightning Flood.

I find the larger radius helps keep it on the target better and it does more damage per tick.
I don't mind recasting it since enemies move around a fair amount.
My matriarch stormsorc's rotation includes keeping several buffs up but, being a heavy attack build, her only active damage skills are Flood and Blockade - easy to keep up.

No, I used to but stopped when I realized it did less damage.

Liquid Lightning is a much stronger DoT and lasts longer. DPS is about damage per action so taking LL is the better choice if wanting to do the best damage one can.

You're using rapiers in your rotation? Okay...

prefer the larger radius and seems more efficient in my head then having to recast the smaller but longer version when we have to keep moving around certain encounters.

Plus I use elemental blockade and like the idea of flood being used for more bursting.

I did after the damage increase, and it was really hard to sustain , so I stopped. Now, with the Bretons sustain update I might try it again (am on console though so haven't tried it yet). It's probably not better most of the time with a Breton instead of an Altmer/Dunmer, but it might be cool and a bit easier/more versatile to use.

    I do.

If I recall correctly, I switched over to it once it got a damage increase because I'd always wanted the one with the bigger radius anyway. Just a radius increase, though, seemed like a bad deal before so I didn't pick it originally.
