ur thoughts ? (is there reason to play magblade in pvp ?)

there has to come changes to make magblade viable again currently its rly hard to play in pvp compared to other classes.
what i wanna point at is how dk reign supreme nowadays and how it affects magblade players. magblade is currently reduced to crushing shock in pvp the popularity tilt towards dk nowadays becouse of obvious reasons. magblade needs a rework rly bad. when i play magblade i mostly just ignore any dk.
besides that some ppl point out that dk wings have a counter (eclipse). lol u can break out of it easily u serious ? no class is shut down so hard by any other class. the worst thing is how overperforming dk can be.(how can u let magblade -an allready underperforming class in pvp- be hardcountered by such a class). STOP telling people to use crushing shock as a counter its not a counter its what u reduce people to.

Undefwun✭✭✭✭✭I love cocky DKs on my magblade (destro/restro)... and that screenie is a game of nothing but potatoes and you had a pocket healer...
I am not top tier at pvp by any means and have a ping handicap, but a few DKs thought my lil lizard magblade was a snack and got the /sadface while waiting to respawn.
Doesn't work everytime of course, leap is strong or if I came out of another fight with low stam and pot on cool down fossilize is hard to get out of and there is always my 400 ping which is horrible if you got a competent player (but that is on any of my pvp toons), but it works enough to for me to get a good laugh out of it....
Win or lose the fight, 2nd time I cross paths with them in that round they come at me alot harder/more careful....
I also like to play the underdog class...which why my stamden has been level 6 for 3 months, and I didn't convert my magsorc to pvp at the beginning of Summerset when they became FOTM...
Yes Magblade needs something that lifts them a bit, it is rough out there, but I do not want something broken and have half the server playing magblade.
They could start with something like put minor vitality back on Swallow Soul, that nerf was just unnecessary...

SpiderCultist✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, I noticed the increment in number of DKs on BGs but I normally end up with a KD ratio > 1.5 with also a high MMR in spite of DKs.
They're pretty annoying, the thing is you have to ignore those DKs and keep the distance or wait until their wings wear off, there's no other way but I still think it's a good thing classes counter each other. Having said this, magblade needs some love, they don't look like the "bloodmage" concept anymore, but a fading shadow of what they were meant to be.

i can deal with any class even tho magblade is not performing to well. but a dk is soo much in the advantage its ridiculous. i just dont grasp whats going on in peoples heads when they defend that class and how it should stay like this. i think in their mindset it would be best if every class is countered by their dk like this so that they can put zero effort eliminating people.0 -

You could replicate these results on ANY class, not just DK. Magblade isn’t in a great place, no, but that image you posted means NOTHING with regards to the supposed OP-ness of DKs.
This isn’t a buff magNB thread, it’s a heavily biased nerf DK thread.1 -

✭I have mixed results on my magblade, I'll avoid godtank DKs but that's usually the case regardless of toon that's a war of attrition usually.
Running Skoria War maiden and just went Stygian from sloads (trying to build a warlock type class before QQ starts)
You need to be able to play cloak and natural stealth well, but if you're using soul assault it's a hard counter to glass Stam builds it really hurts after opening up with a concealed stun.
I just don't think they're as bad as people suggest in PvP you literally have cloak spam to reset the fight until you're 100% happy to play on not to mention it's offensive potential, throw in fear/tele you're almost the complete PvP class.0 -
