how difficult are the new dungeons on vet?

The normal versions seem rather easy - how does their difficulty on vet compare with other dungeons? Thank you!

    Malatar seemed pretty easy on vet, even though I don’t think we figured out all of the mechanics. Have not tried HM yet.

    Malatar Blindrun is pretty much possible without a healer. Hardmode is pretty much not possible without a healer and the Last Boss on non Hardmode is pretty buggy. We had 2 rows coming from both side in the first half of the fight. And the second row did spawn in the middle of the map so we all whiped without a chance to get though.

    Did vDoM on Monday. Took 3.5 hours and I have no idea how the mechanics other than the gold walls work. I should not have to depend on a dungeon guide to do these, the mechanics should be at least vaguely comprehensible.

    Then did it in normal where there are apparently no mechanics whatsoever, everything just melted. The gulf is so massive it’s embarrassing, there I was trying to list the mechanics in chat and by the time I’d put down a couple of sentences the boss was down and looted.

    There has to be a middle ground where the mechanics are prevalent but the punishments aren’t as deadly as they are in vet, so people can actually figure out the mechanics themselves.

    I enjoyed figuring out the hedge maze and colour alchemist in MHK, in contrast this dungeon is no fun at all.

    Speaking NON HM
    We oneshot VDoM on launch day, in like less than an hour. No wipes on any boss, etc.

    Frostvault gave us issues with the lasers bugging now and then, and also I did not know to just taunt atro away leave the goblin or w/e - so that was weird until I just decided 'lol you just deal with the mage lol'

    The Damage on final boss even on not HM is a LOT, on HM it's so hot, I went full selfish in there. We did not clear HM that try, because the damage was just intense and I'm a noob tank.

    It's unfortunate to know that this is still a problem (differences between normal and vet). They almost need a third mode somewhere in the middle.

    Well, in general i would say both are "easy"

    We did vDoM HM with 3 DDs and 1 tank, if you go down, nuke boss as fast as possible.

    For vFK HM we was classic setting (healer, tank and 2 DD)
    We tried around 4h and was done.

    Never tried on PTS

    So, these Dungeons are going to easy.
    Compared to other DLC Dungeons

    Since both dungeons have been nerfed multiple times since 4.3.0 and since people come with different skill levels looking through a different glass in terms of perceived diffulty level I believe it's pointless to discuss on something as volatile as tastes and colors.

    Non HM is on shadow of the hist level. I did vFV blind in 1.5h except the mouse maze part that I watched alcast clip on PTS. Haven't try HM in that one.

    DoM seem easier. Mechanics are easy to figure out. Well there are some mechanics that I didn't or still don't understand, but we figure out enough to rambo through HM with heal dps and rezzing.

    If the solution is “up the dps and nuke the boss”, then the mechanics aren’t working. You’re not playing the mechanics, you’re just blasting through them.

    Sure, it’s one kind of game playing to up your dps so that mechanics don’t matter, but I would rather have the solution be to have to adapt my game to the individual situation rather than rely on some flash rotation (which I know is a type of skill too).

    ZOS need to find a way for the mechanic to work in a way that effectively mitigates super high dps yet allows lower dps groups to succeed.

    Maybe a boss that is mechanic heavy but can only be successfully damaged for a specific amount per second would be a solution. So there is a benefit in being good at dps to a point, but you need to master the mechanics as well.

    I've done non HM vDoM only with a pug through GF. We cleared it in about 1.5hrs.

    Idk if anyone knew the mechanics much. I know I didn't lol. There were a few wipes but all good really.

    I thought the dungeon was great -it's a fun, good looking dungeon with legit end game boss fights that a decent team can work out and clear with some effort and thought - but without hella problems.

    This is basic vet content done right imo.

    HM is there for those looking to step up and HM, No Death Speed runs for those looking to rek the content.

    GJ ZOS, imo.
