Like is this guy's name actually Rube in Denial?
I've seen others like that too, one was a street person in Balmora, called something Popeil (Ron Popeil was a big TV Infomercial or whatever advertising promoter guy with hiw own brand; I think he went bankrupt....)
Also saw a weirdly named Khajiit; but I forget now - will post it when i find it again.
Have you seen any?

✭✭✭✭It's likely. Certainly shoutouts to games and popular culture are common.- LOTRO had an NPC named Rurik (major NPC in Guild Wars).
- Guild Wars had an NPC named Jayne, whose weapon -- quite against normal weapon naming conventions -- was named Vera.
- Guild Wars also had an NPC named Kilroy Stonekin, who ran madly into battle shouting his name at length: "Kilroooooooy Stonekin!!!!"
As for wordplay -- this is the game where the Mundus Stone named "The Lover" just randomly happens to be the one that optimizes penetration.19 -

I'm from Denmark and in danish "Lort" means ***
Edit: Can't write that apparently, "Lort" is a harsher word for "poo" or "turd"
