Chaos Champion Achievement

Has anyone managed to get this achievement?

I went into a Chaosball match (console) where a team of 4 (2 tanks and 2 healers) sat in the middle of the map and the tanks held block while being healed. The other two teams being PUGs couldn't out damage their heals.

After they scored 100 points I decided to go full damage and try for the achievement. Overall I scored 2.1m damage. I've got to believe that between the two tanks I managed to deal at least 500,000 damage to one of them.

Nope. Apparently it was made easier but I don't see it.

Yes, it’s 450k damage now instead of 500k

@brandonv516 we tried today but we were only able to get like 8 ppl to join us to focus on achievement rather than kills. So the other 4 ruined it towards the end but I managed to get all the way to 390k. With all 12 working together would have been super easy.

this achievement is one that forces ppl to "cheat" the system, by queueing with 12 ppl in 3 groups.

Else I dont ever see the chance that someone will get this achievement, which IMO is badly designed.

and I know of atleast of 2 ppl who have farmed it, by ofc grouping with 12 ppl....scott has all achievement sin the gam e(stand pre wrathstone) so he obviously made it...and Someone in my raidgroup also has it, but he frmed it.
Dunno if scott farmed it aswell, but highly think he did, else its just a pain in the butt to get.

. Does this Scott (I dont know who he is) or person in your raidgroup have a guild/friends that want to do it once more? Lol

well, to get the ppl for the achievement shouldnt be a problem ....and dunno about your platform tho xD

you should prob ask in a PVP guild, they prob have a few players who might be up for it.

@SaintSubwayy I’m on xbox NA...lol yeah I thought so too but PVPers we got today from my pvp guild decided it was slaughter time After standing still and healing chaos carrier for 5 minutes lol

thats why you need 12 ppl...so one healthreg tank for the ball, and 3 healers in the carry group

then some buffing healers and DD in the other group, which has 1 DD fully offensive, to deal DMG. that way you can do the achievement for 2 ppl in 1 BG -> 6 BG's and everybody has it.

I was only able to find 7 ppl to be on board with it, and even they didn’t care for achievement they were just helping cause we are friends. Lol I need to find achievements guild so ppl with same goals will want to dedicate time to do it

Still working on getting this title. I've had some really high damage matches where I focus hard and I still can't prevail.

I believe you simply have to cheese it. That's how i did and several friends of mine. It's a terrible design like most of BGs stuff and i don't think you can earn this one legit.

In the past people would cheese it by abusing oblivion damage + old Torug's Pact, since damage against shielded users isn't counting towards the 450k that's needed for Chaos Champion (which should be reworked @ZOS_GinaBruno, so that damage against shielded users carrying the ball is also considered damage towards the achievement). Was in a BG the other day where 300k damage was absorbed by annulment on one of the carriers. That's 300k damage not counted for god knows what reason......

Add to that, that DoTs are now ridiculously weak (for the Chaos Champion you basically need to be on the carriers 24/7 with DoTs to get it), while the 450k requirement remains unchanged.....

The entire achievement need a huge rework, you shouldn't need 12 people cheesing it in a "artificial premade" to get it. But zos ignores almost every single thread about BG's more or less these days so I've no hopes about them changing anything at this point.

But removing the stupid design where damage towards shielded users doesn't count as damage towards the achievement, would go along way with making it less ridiculous.

Yea I figured. I’ve been told ppl are utilizing bug where you get 12-24 ppl in your group to get it done.

ZOS should simply change it to 450k dmg to anyone who touched the ball during battle whether they carry it or not and it would be fine.

It has to be the shields that's not allowing this achievement to be gained.

I've had a lot of really good matches focusing hard on ball carriers but with no success.

I'm hoping they look more into this.
