Magicka Sorcerer - Best armour combination PVE

Hey everyone, new player here

I have have only been playing the game for about 2 months now and have hit CP 160 just the other day. I didnt know gear stopped scailing at 160 but im so glad it does the grind can be a nightmare haha.

I was just wondering which are the best combinations of armour sets for a high elf sorcerer? I run a pet aswell but also like to do damage if thats possible to do aswell? I currently run Mothers Sorrow and Treasure Hunters armour sets together, i am abit out of my depth when it comes to which combinations to use for my build as im still getting used to the game so i am not sure if they are the right ones, but i just overall wanted the best bang for my buck in terms of armour sets combinations. I use lightening spells aswell for damage

If you want absolute best it is very situational. As much as I dislike people copying builds, I have took this list from alcast, and added few of my own:

Necropotence: Rivenspire
Mantle of Siroria: Cloudrest
Perfect Mantle of Siroria: Cloudrest
Ilambris: Crypts of Hearts 1
Maelstrom Shock Staff: Maelstrom Arena
Destruction Mastery: Dragonstar Arena
Moondancer: Maw of Lorkhaj
Law of Julianos: Craftable
Spinner's Garments: Malabal Tor
Zaan: Scalecaller Peak
Maw of the Infernal: Banished Cells 2
Willpower: Guildstore
Mother's sorrow: deshaan
Mechanical acuity: craftable
Valkyn skoria: City of ashes 2
Infallible aether: craglron trials.
Mad tinketer: clockwork city

Don't forget to run two sets + a monster set

Mad tinkerer is really fun to use, with deadric prey up, then proc hits for like 20k and it really hilarious to see mobs fly into the air.

I front bar mad tinkerer and wear necropotance and maw. So fun

Mad tinketer shouldn't get any damage from deadric curse, I think, does it get it though?

100% does. All summons from armor sets do, even defiler, though you would not use that set on a mag sorc. What makes you think mad tinkerer should not? The set summons a pet and then the pet rolls.

@OP - you may find this list of sets useful:

I am using Queen's Elegance and Necropotence (all with the Divines trait), with a Lightning Staff of Willpower, on my Dunmer PvE Sorcerer. Both full sets are easily found in Overland content (they drop from dolmens in their zones) or bought at guild traders, and the staff is sold cheap too.

With a Twilight Matriarch on and buffed by blue food, my attributes in full purple gear with golden Increase Magicka glyphs are as follows:

Magicka: 49297
Health: 17532
Stamina: 11799

It is a reasonably well effective start.

If you are running pets you need that max magika OP, Necro is the way.

Also make sure you check your mundus stone. Are running good quality crafted food. Enchants are correct etc - all the small % stack up

For a pet build Necropotence 100%, then either Julianos or mother sorrow are both good choices or even Mad Tinkerer since set proc pets are affected by summoner passives.
As for monster sets, Illambris, Valkyn Skoria or Maw of the Infernal are good choices I would personally go Illambris as its the easiest to get early on.
