Freezing on a load screen from character selection

My girlfriend is having tons of trouble. She managed to log in fine yesterday with no problem. Now, when she tries to log into a different toon, is freezes on the load screen. The ouroboros in the lower right corner does not move and nothing works. The game will not allow any programs to run in front of it, not even task manager. Programs load behind it. She can't even Alt+F4 out of the game. She has to completely restart her machine. It shouldn't be tied to the thing from the patch notes due to her logging in fine the other day. Shouldn't it?

✭✭A few weeks ago, I couldn't log into vvardenfell on any character parked there, and it was doing the same thing. It went away after a few days. Not sure where her characters are parked, but vvard has had it's issues from time to time. At least on PS4.0 -

Far as I can remember, they are all parked in Daggerfall. While we have had notorious issues in the past trying to log in, I managed to log in just fine into that town. We are not sure.Sa'hira of the Shadows, DC Nightblade and ruins explorer extraordinaire.

✭Have you tried to just let the game run for like 30mins?
Sometimes it seems the game isnt responding, but letting it do its thing can in some cases reslove the issue.
Other things to try, is completly remove all addons (just copy them into another folder, so you dont loose them ...same for all the addonsettings ofc). If this resolves the Issue, then something may be broken from a addon, which completly blocks the game.
This can happen, if certain addons are only active on certain chars.
Other Option is to try and run the Repairfunction from the launcher, or submit a ticket and keep replying to it untill oyu get throuh xDPC EU

We will give all these a try, but at the moment she can only log onto one toon. The others still freeze. We will submit a ticket in game and give these suggestions a try. Thanks for all the suggestions. :-)Sa'hira of the Shadows, DC Nightblade and ruins explorer extraordinaire.

votan73✭✭✭I would disable pChat or renamed the saved variable of pChat. pChat has an infinitive loop restoring chat history, if there is color-coded text.
If this does not help, disable all addons and re-enabled them block-wise.0 -

A ouroboros rotating forever is a client issue. A frozen ouroboros is typical for a Lua add-on code issue.0
