Emeric, Darien, Gabrielle
And yes I'd say Emeric is the only loveable faction leader among the three, Ayreen got the popularity because she is a she, and nobody remembers Jorunn
And queen Arzhela, King Bazrog, Skordo etc aren't bad
Generally speaking ESO have really really few recurring characters especially the political figures, so we have to accept the recurring ones whether we like them or not

Who in the AD do I like as well as or better than ANY of those? Razum-dar, Ayrenn ... and the list stops right there.
Who in the EP do I like as well as or better than ANY of those? Naryu, Kireth ... and again I'm out of names.

Aye DC have overall a way better story, even villians (Angof for example) are more memorable

I mean, if there's a chance we can storm the Colored Rooms and get him back, sign this Vestige up!
He's easily up there with Raz in terms of screentime and story importance, and quite a bit more important than Naryu when it comes to actual impact on the story.
I believe that could have been Kaleen if they had not forced that stupid Carzog Demise decision on us leading most players into disliking Kaleen

I legit like Ayren tho. I think Emeric is garbage. Dude lets YOU pick the leader of Rivenspire because he just doesn't want the "responsibility." Yuck. Horrible. Pathetic. Man, I can't stand the lazy chump.
Honestly I've never enjoyed any of the leaders of the three alliances. While they were voiced by amazing actors and big names, the writing for the characters and the inexperience of VO work from the actors shines through. All three seem very detached from the events taking place around them or to them.

Emeric being Emeric and shrugging off responsibility. The guy created the issue that lead to the civil war in Rivenspire by not returning the crown to the very person it was originally stolen from. Sealed the deal for me and I hated that character from then on out after he left it up to me to choose who should lead. He was already not an enjoyable character to interact with because of how bored he seemed with every conversation.

I figured this would be the popular answer.
For me, I found his machismo, self proclaimed “ladies man” persona to be quite off-putting.

My first choice is not to have monarchs at all.
My second choice is to have monarchs with humility.
As for Emeric perhaps being ineffective -- all three of the monarchs are facing insurrection, but his seems to be the least serious of the three. And while he does seem in that comparison to have the advantage of having the oldest alliance, that's also because he was the only one of the three to personally pull the alliance together.
None of the monarchs seem good at winning battles without your personal help, but ... well, that's the RPG story.

I like Darien and find him funny most times, but I agree his exaggerated boasting needs to be toned down a little. I mean, no one beyond the age of 15 really acts like that, do they? (And they need to modify his dialogue so he's not constantly boasting about womanising to a woman.)
