Anyone know how much more cloaking a Breton Stamina NB can do compared to other races just based on their racials?

The answer depends on a few variables. I assume you want to compare against a stam race with no mag bonuses? I can crunch the numbers for you if you post your current race, mag pool size, mag recovery, and cloak cost for the non-Breton toon you're thinking about changing.0 -

I am someone who doesn't care about min/max. I play to enjoy the game. I haven't created a character yet, but i am very visually drawn so my interest is either making a Nord or a Breton. It needs to be a stamina build because i don't like magic weapons. How much more cloaking can be done being a Breton vs being a Nord.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Probably better off testing it on the PTS so you can race change a max level Nightblade multiple times without consequence.
Shadow disguise* is 3969* magicka before any outside reductions like armor or passives. Bretons get 2k extra mag and 7% reduction. So it’s pretty good.
Imho, you’d be better off stacking magicka regen if you want to spam cloak, out of combat my thief character can spam it 4* times and if I wait for the entire duration each time I can get off 2-3* more before resting. So with a Breton you might be looking at 5-6* times more after the initial 4* deplete you mag pool. Possible, this isn’t a scientific answer.

Again, the answer depends on these variables. It's impossible to accurately answer without the stats. You need "before" numbers to calculate "after" numbers.
I could give you an approximation using someone else's stamblade numbers, but they'd have to come from a PC player because Wrathstone hasn't dropped on console yet. I just need mag pool size, mag recovery, and cloak cost for a generic stamblade with no Max Mag, Mag Recovery, or Mag cost reduction bonuses.Edited by Gnortranermara on March 6, 2019 2:03AM1 -

✭Well, here's an approximation. You should be able to chain 1 extra cast before running out of juice. And after fully depleting your mag pool, non-mag races will take ~14 seconds to cast again, while Bretons will be able to cast ~3 seconds earlier. Just remember it depends on your specific stats.0 -

And you may actually build a melee magblade, and dunmers look better, and dunmer may switch between stam/magicka at will now. Ditch humans, for blade class go dunmer.

✭✭You can do what I do and use Tri Stat enchants on my Chest, helmet legs for a little more hp and magicka, It helps quite a bit especially when gankblades are squishy.1 -

im a dunmer stamblade. before racials changed, i used to do 3 cloak back to back but with the regeneration while i was in cloak, i could use it 4 times. i didnt have any magicka bonus whatsoever. only 9 percent magicka bonus to my standard magicka.
With new passives i believe i can do it 4 times in a row and with regeneration over time while im in cloak, its 5.
i assume the same thing for breton.1 -

It's tough to answer your question simply, for several reasons:- The question is a bit ill-formed. Do you mean "How much cloaking can I do in X period of time?" For what X?
- The answer depends on the details of your build. And since you're not optimizing, there's no way for us to confidently guess the details of your build.
- It would be very easy for you to do the arithmetic yourself, so that raises some doubt as to whether the question you appear to be asking is the you really are wondering about.

Depending on total magic recovery, that will determine the total amount. But off hand, before these changes have hit live, I could usually get 2 more cloaks in rapid succession than my stamina buddies... I survived way more often than they ever did when ganks didn't go in our favor.
With the update, I'd say easily 3 more cloaks.0 -
