ESO Plus DLC clarification

Hi chaps,

I've been a ESO Plus subscriber from the day it started, but recently am slightly confused on what I get included in terms of the DLC - I've bought the Collectors ESO, Collectors Morrowind, Collectors Summerset & pre-ordered the Elsweyr *digital Collectors* (paaah no physical) Editions, and in-game I can see these greyed out in the Crown Store as I've bought them of course.

Now, I'm slow *really slow* to get through the game, I have several characters, but the most advanced is doing Cadwell's Gold - yeah, I know after this many years, I still have the other stuff to do... but I just kinda wander off and explore, so haven't started any of the other stuff yet.

Anyway, when I look in the Crown Store, I can see things like Wrathstone, Thieves Guild, Brotherhood all available to purchase ? I'm a member of these guilds, and can do the repeatable quests, so what is it that I'd be getting for the extra crowns ? I assume as an ESO Plus I can play the content listed under them ?

Would I just be wasting crowns ?

I did do a search first, the odd discussion popped up, but it seems the DLC definition has kinda changed ?

Cheers Chaps.

those that are DLC are free as long as you are an active eso+ member. Chapters are not DLC's and that's why you have to pay for them,

If you intend to maintain your ESO+ indefinitely, there's likely no reason to purchase crown DLC packs.

If you think you'll want to drop ESO+ at some point in the future and enjoy certain packs (whether you like specific dungeons, or want new characters you create in the future to be part of TG or DB, etc) you'll probably want to purchase the ones you will want to keep access to.

You do not get anything extra from purchasing the DLC with crowns (unless you buy the collector's edition of those which come with extra content like mounts, pets, etc) other than continued access to the content should your subscription ever lapse.

That's great - cheers, pretty much what I'd understood it to be - it was just the fact that I *could* buy those DLCs that threw me - I guess they aren't greyed out as I haven't actually *purchased* them as such, just have permission to play them under ESO+.

I've got about 15k crowns kicking around so might pick up one or two if the extras look interesting...

    Cheers.

Both TG and DB will be on sale during the upcoming anniversary. Both the DLCs and their collector's editions will be 50% off. So, you can pick up the collector's editions for 2000 crowns each, normally 4000 crowns each. Or you could just pick up the DLCs for 1000 crowns each (regularly 2000 crowns each).

ETA: Note that the only DLC collectors edition currently in the CS is Wrathstone's. Once a new DLC hits, the collector's edition for the previous DLC is removed from the CS. But, during anniversary events, they return to the CS, usually on sale (as with the upcoming TG/DB anniversary event).
