Should PvE looks like PvP so balance is made easier ?

Giving monsters similar stats that players have (resistance, penetration, crit chance, crit damage), so debuffs on monsters and players have similar effects.
Have more monsters using non-damage abilities (dodge, heal, reflect, buff & debuff), and make monsters blocking more intelligent (Instead of them blocking for too long without any incoming damage).

The OP does not even begin to touch on what is different between the two and why build and playstyles are so different from one to the others. The OP barely touches on what differentiates the two.

Heck, even in PvP there are very different play styles and in PvE high end raiding you have a trinity at play that is not always in play in PvP.

That does not even get into PvE is basically scripted. We know when something will happen and exactly what will happen. PvP has no predictability like that.

So the reality is the question is rather moot because the two worlds are far more different than portrayed in the OP. BTW, making monsters play "more intelligently" to a degree that would make a difference requires a lot more computing power than you think, not to mention the AI development for it is not that simple of a change which would have to affect everything in the game.

I don't pve a lot, so I probably don't have an opinion in this. However, if monsters had a cleverer AI and were more challenging, I would probably partake in it a lot more. They could finally remove this artificial difficulty they have with bosses in dungeons, if done right.
I'd like to see it happen on a test server if only out of curiosity.

If you give a boss PvP-think, he will ignore the tank while killing the healer first, then focus on the dps (while still ignoring the tank).
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

If you like fighting against other players in a video game, you are always better off with some specialized "PVP only" game and not the typical MMO.

Well, only when facing intelligent monsters (bosses or not) is it an issue. Animals don't care about healers. I don't see any issue with monsters playing more intelligently.
It will shake things a bit because people would have more things to consider than just maximize damage output. It would be more interesting. The tank could have to interpose / use snares / etc. Healers and Damage Dealers would have to include some tool to survive, or sometimes hide for their safety. We already have to avoid AoE against bosses.

I don't care if they're players or good AI, as long as they're able to be a threat. If I wanted to kill thousands of unthreatening monsters, I would play a korean MMORPG. :)
