Looking For Magicka dps tips as sorc

Hey guys !

Yesterday I started a reroll as a magsorc and I wonder what kind of sets will be optimized in order to do as much dps as possible, and I have few questions !
Firstly I heard that the magblades are stronger than magsorc in pve actually... is it real ? Have we a great difference between the 2 of them ?
Secondly, I wonder if pets still works for sorc in hm dlc dj or vet trials... (I will be satisfied if they do more than 52k dps selfbuffed approximatively)

Finally as sets ;
For a pet magsorc I would use :
-2 zaan
-5 spell strategist
-5 necropotence

Mundus thief / food max Magicka and Health, all divine.

For a magsorc without pet, of course I will use too zaan and spell strategist, but I wonder if siroria is the better other set cause u need to move for severals tactics / mechs in dlc dj or trials... so I may use mother sorrow or smth else ? Have u any recommandations ?? :smile:

    As of Wrathstone, Maw of the Infernal does more damage than Zaan, provided you use Daedric Prey. And on top of that, it is ranged.

    Mundus, definitely Shadow if your tank wears Alkosh.

    I usualy swap sets based on content. I wear Maw and Necro everywhere, but I switch jewelry and a destro staff. For static fights I go Siroria. For mobile fights, Spell Strategist.

    But for spell critical : basic = 20% , Light armor passive +10%, major prophecy +10% so without thieve mundus I will have 40-45% spell critical, so if my tank don t use alkosh, thieve still better than shadow right ?

    And how much dps have you with your mobile fight configuration ? Can u reach between 50-55k dps selfbuffed ?

    I wouldn't use Spell Strat on a Sorc cuz its all about the lightning and aoe (that's where you shine) and Spell Strat is single target so your WOE,LL and such don't benefit.

    Shadow has been buffed with Wrathstone while Thief remains the same.

    I don't use Acceleration so I don't have Minor Force. In this case Shadow is clear winner. But, on my magDK where I have decent Minor Force uptime via Rearming Trap, Thief is slightly better than Shadow.

    My dps is +-53k with Spell Strat on 3M skelly, and around 51k on 6M skelly.

    Thanks a lot guys, so is magsorc pet still good in all trials/ dlc dj or the pets will make certains strats harder ? :smiley:
