Curious about Maelstrom Arena stage 6 (Venom Grenade)

So, while I was doing some normal MA to grind a character of mine, I noticed that when I explode a hoarvor or throw a venom grenade at the enemies, they become covered in poison and get a debuff called "Rotting". It's quite similar to that boss in ICP. What does that debuff does there? Reduces damage done, increases damage taken? I'm not sure.

If someone knows, I'm curious

From memory its physical resistance debuff.

I never checked, but word goes, it also resets enrage timer on the boss of that stage - so if you're not managing neither to burn her in time nor clear webs from all obelisks (stun also resets the enrage timer), can try tossing that grenade at her. But I haven't seen any confirmation nor tried myself.

you use it to clear the spider webs. when all the totems are uncovered it stuns all the bosses

Thank you! Being a stamina player mostly, this looks favorable. Although yeah, could be a spell resistante debuff too

Yes, I am aware of that, but if you hit enemies with the poison, they also get a Rotting debuff, although I didn't know what exactly was the effect.

Just FYI ... if you happen to move on to vMA: There really isn't much time to pick up the poison blobs and throw them. It's a lot easier to just burn the hoarvors by the totems to clear the Stage.
