Thanks to latest patch Cyrodiil is unplayable again. Between ping spikes, and kicks (today only 4), I have so much worse performance than I had through last week it's stunning. I've lost my will to play again... I prefer to get hit by 15k siege weapon than not being able to defend against 2k steel tornado spam. Thanks but it's not for me. You can have my c1B7FYSLtD-2.png
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

Well, we tried to tell @ZOS_GinaBruno this would happen. No wonder why people are jumping ship to Apex. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, at least we've identified a possible solution. ZoS just revert it for one campaign, if people want lag they can play in the other one.

They should throw a curveball like that every week. It was fun.

Maybe guards are too strong one week or fall damage doesn't exist. Idk, they'd think up better more relevant changes than I can, but fresh is better than stale.

Perhaps those PvP weapons that mentioned for the future will be strong enough to quickly flatten huddled players without completely evaporating a single target in one hit.

Yea, siege isn’t the solution. It needs to be a player ability - like inevitable detonation - that does it. Making skills like inevitable detonation stronger (or at least functional) which would also stop warden and pet zoo premades.

Issue is simple - strong short range aoe healing and no long range aoe damage.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Pretty sure I saw that they said they will continue to monitor siege so hopefully something is coming in the near future. I grew to like the powerful siege.

I wonder if scaling siege damage would have the desired effect. Negligible damage against 1-3/4 targets, but it starts to scale steeply and does significant damage if it hits 6+. Requires timing/placement to use and have significant effect, would also require defensive strategy from the group taking the siege hits. Idk anymore, pvp is so crappy these days.

This is one of my fav solutions. Sieges wouldn't be abused in open field but would be extremly efective on breaches, keeps and tight places vs the ones that doesnt like to spread.

Awesome idea, still need a mechanic to combat faction stacking at the last emp keep... i.e. losing control of keep resources decreases the siege cap, etc.

Ball groups never went away even during the giant siege damage mayhem. Your post is based on a flawed analysis of events.

I can assure you that the only thing that may have affected ball groups about the siege bug was the fact it coincided with a huge meta change and new pve content. I know at least one of the guilds I'm in took a break on one of the normal raiding nights due to this, not the siege changes, and still raided one of its other raid nights and encountered plenty of the usual vivec guilds on that raid night. The other vivec pvp guild I'm in has been raiding as normal, as the usual sizes it always has.

    I played after maintenance.
    No lag what so ever.
    And I was in cyrodiil.
24 vs 24, lots of siege engine in play
And this is the vivec campaign.

Last night patch wasn't released, and I was constantly getting kicked out of the game. And there was huge lag when I could connect. And today it is the same after patch, now I can't even login. This has nothing to do with siege bug or ball groups, it is the usual server hamsters problem.

I suspect it's the way the skills work with a broken engine.

nice conspiracy theory but the other day ping spiked constantly every 20-30s all night, so blaming a single grp is just plain idiotic

Strange because during last week I've seen ball group literally 2 times. Yesterday I have seen many of them on each side...

Lol, they never left. They were just behind the walls with siege left clicking.
