Blue siege is a one shot the way it is now, two ticks from oils will kill you if you don't have a dedicated healer as well.

That's NOT how it's supposed to be. This is not a pvp'ers vs. pve'rs discussion.

It doesn't make sense that a metal stick deals more damage then a giants ice rock.

Actually it's PvErs that are in Cyrodiil just to get Caltroops/Vigor are crying the most. PvPers after few hours already figured out how to deal with current sieges.
    1. Don't stand in stupid.
    2. You can roll dodge both the initial hit and the following ticks.
    3. Use purge or cloak.
    4. Again don't stand in stupid. When you play long in enough you don't even think about it, you see red circle and your subconsciousness does the rest on it's own.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

@Mayrael What you say is true for normal sieges, but not when talking about coldfire ballistas. First, there is a bug or exploit that can increase their damage to 44k PER TICK, second, once you are in a fight and rooted or CC'd you cannot always get out of a carpet of siege impact circles. I've wiped whole groups with a friend just using two coldfire ballistas synchronized on the same spot, and no healer and purger in the world had any chance to survive this. This is true for organized groups as much as for randoms.

Also, there is a lovely gamebug which is occasionally suppressing the visuals for the siege impact, so there is nothing 'to move out of' in 20% of all cases.

You made a false statement, I pointed out it was false. It's simply NOT just pve'rs complaining and being hurt by this glitch, and it IS a glitch that needs fixing. That's the only argument to be made.

We know it's not just pve'rs complaining because I am rank #4 on the leaderboards right now. I'm pretty sure that makes me, primarily, a pvp'er.

If that metal stick is made of the strongest metal known, infused by most powerful magic and wielded by a godlike person, then yea ofc it should.

@visionality about visual bug that's true. Yes when you coordinate sieges it's deadly but once again, even if you're in 10 red circles all you need to do is roll dodge, I've done this few times when I wasn't fast enough - never died unless hard cc'ed. Yes coordinated sieges can be deadly but even yesterday two players did try to do it to me few times whit coldfires when I was on my siege, guess what? I didn't died.

It's much more realistic the way it is now and actually makes sense using defensive equipment not just waiting until someone breaks to gate on the defenders.
One ballista made insane damage on people back in the day, not to mention trebuchets and those who had oil in their neck (very rarely so it was rather hot water) during sieges were completely out of the battle without the chance to be resurrected.

I'm happy to get some extra realism in sieges and secretly hope they'll not patch it back to the ridiculously theatrical but pretty ineffective defensive equipment. Having more epic than "farmable" sieges would be welcome.

Strange, because during that last week most of my guild mates from PvP guilds and people in zone chat said they like this "change", people I know from Cyrodiil for years. Most negative comments comes from the ones I have never seen in Cyrodiil. You know I wouldn't consider someone as a PvPer just because he commented something in PvP section.

Realistic? How many times should a toon be able to die then?

There is a good argument to be made that siege should be stronger, but there has to be a counter to deal with it, and presently there is no counter to coldfire siege. It's a guaranteed one shot no matter what as is. That doesn't work either.

I'm kinda wondering if they didn't create this bug so they could make some siege stronger on a permanent basis without people noticing too much and complaining.
