Orc is a very good race for Stamina in general and their speed makes them even better for StamSorc. Overall damage is great and huge resource boosts on top of that makes the deal even sweeter.

Khajiit is another choice if damage is what you want. Burst damage is higher than Orc and Shadow+Khajiit allows building into Crit Chance without the fear of Crit Resist devauling it. This opens up a whole style of builds unfavorable to other races. Higher crit-chance also means higher survivability for StamSorc. Mechanical Aquity gives Shadow kitties a window of damage beyond the capability of any race/build. Their overall multi-stat boosts all help in a well-balanced build without needing invest much into the off-stat or health.

Redguard works well for stamsorc because we have hardly any class skilsl so all our damage skills are from wep lines so they will be cheaper, even ults. And orc offers good synergy too with high damage and bonus sprint speed and less cost of sprinting, so orc has a little sustain too, the extra hp is also nice.

It depends on the build you want though, orc would work well for the classic stamsorc style of hit and run with huge burst, redguard would help a lot with sustain though.

Gear will depend if you want to be a more brawler stamsorc or hit and run style. If you want to be fast with high burst then medium fits well, with sets like hulking draugr, bone pirate, automaton, shackle ect. Orc would compliment this playstyle a lot, and you could use a set like prisoners rags or cowards gear for mobility, or even both together for a very fun build ;) If you want to be more brawler style then sets like seventh, shackle, fury ect will be good choices.

You will need either shuffle or forward momentum. 2h frontbar using dizzy as spammable would work well with bow or dw backbar. Dw would be good for a more brawler type as it gives nice pressure and a hot, and bow would be better for hit and run type build as it gives a good dot and mobility from dodge roll. If using snb as frontbar use ransack or heroic/deep slash as spammable with reverb as cc, and any backbar can work, bow, dw or 2h if medium. Bow lacks an execute so it would be the worst to pair with snb frontbar. but if using heavy with snb then go for 2h backbar to get snare immunity with forward momentum, and an execute.

I would just test different setups to just see what you like best.

Or do what I do! Slot 100% procsets and chase down Crixus in Cyro just because he's too awesome to let live!

About race : its about your playstyle. Redguard would be if you got issue sustaining stamina. Orc for mobiliy, damage, rewards aggressive playstyle.

As of gear : I have a hard time not going 5pc heavy because when you are using dizzying swing you are exposed for damage, but more medium armor means more crit % which means more heals from surge so... its up to you.

I am running bloodspawn, viper and sload currently with 5 heavy 2 medium 2h/bow or 2h/sword and shield. Evil hunter on mainbar to boost crit a little for extra heals. Setup is cheezy but far from optimal but it shows that you can make it with minimal sustain sets.

Prisoner's rags and Orc. Mobility and sustain (dark deal) for days. Obviously being a LA set you'll want to run it on jewellery and weaps. The body 5pc is up to you; Fury, Seventh, Veiled heritance, Ravager are some options.
For the monster sets I usually run whatever I feel is lacking. Need more healing? Troll King. Want more damage? Slimecraw. Want more mitigation and ult gen? Blood spawn.
