Second Question about PvP mechanics

So I and a buddy of mine have noticed something kinda well odd. When we are trying to break free the game does not let us actually brake free. Our Char just kinda sit there as we mash our button. We are looking at our stamina and this occurs with full stamina bars. Is this server lagg or something?
