As many of you know my favorite race (Bosmer) was destroyed but what you don’t know is** my second favorite by a close margin, the Imperials, were restored! Glory to Akatosh! Upon the blood of Lorkhan we rise, unbound from chains to our rightfully exalted place among the greats!
This is a welcome thread to all new Imperials! May the Divines bless you and your words!
Please, post your new Imperials, your old Imperials, your Imperial guilds, your success stories and your glorious epic tales of Imperial might in this thread!
Also, please be aware that the Imperial City will soon be much easier to access, you’ll no longer have to queue into a horse sim map and ride cross country just to be killed on the shores before your alliance entrance. I expect to see every one of you fighting to free our homeland from traitors and cultists (the pve quest is actually really good and can be completed in 4-6 hours if you stealth through it).

Imperial Changes:
Increases Experience gain in One Hand and Shield Skill Line by 15%, extra 1% Gold gain → No changes
Tough: Gain 12% Max Health → Increases your Max Health by 2000.
Conditioning: Gain 10% Max Stamina → Imperial Mettle: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000.
Red Diamond: 10% Chance on Melee Attack to heal for 6% of Max Health → When you deal Direct Damage, you restore 333 Health, Magicka, and Stamina. This effect has a 5 second cooldown. It also will reduce the cost of all abilities by 3%.
Developer Comment:
We were relatively happy with the performance of the Imperial races previously, but wanted to improve Red Diamond to stand out and be more accessible across different play styles. Now even on non-offense oriented builds, you’ll still be able to get a bit of a bonus out of it with the cost reduction. We also wanted to split the previous amount of Health over all 3 resources so all build types could engage with it, instead of being purely survival based.

Please let’s not talk about Bosmer here, they mean a lot to me and I’m trying to distract myself from it by looking for a silver lining. I don’t know if Imperials are enough to keep me with Zenimax but I’m going to try

✭As I mentioned before, I too was not happy with Bosmer changes, and very upset with the current state that my magsorc characters are in (had to shelve them for now until some changes are made or I can figure something out to put them back in shape), but still the entire time I was thinking - well, at least my Imperials are workable.
And they are, but it still bothers me that they took such a bad hit in health pool.
Just wondering, how did you guys compensate for this? Is there a way to do it without hurting their other resource pools?
My main is an Imperial stamblade, and although he seems to be doing fine in overland content Im not comfortable to bring him into a dungeon again until I can get his health a little bit higher, not that it was very high to begin with (most everything went into stam for him) but at least back to where it was..

After food and Ebon a dd doesn’t need more than 19-20k imho. As a tank, seeing a dd with more than 20k health gives me anxiety that we’ll be there all day lol

✭✭Mine is a dw Stam sorc so I rely on the heal from dmg abilities mostly. Right now I'm bow/dw but thinking of going lightning staff after the changes to dw enchants. I think there are so many possibilities for Imperial now. My Magicka characters are Breton, but my headcanon is that they're all brothers from the Imperial "House Valerius of Nibenay"; their father is Imperial while their mother is Breton. @FilteredRiddle interesting, I have an Imperial DK that I no longer play, but can’t delete because he’s done too much , named Nikola Valerius
This is Nikola Valerius. He was a decorated soldier, but he had become disenchanted with the service. He's trying to polish up his honor these days now that he's older and has the benefit of wisdom to look back on all his past grudges.
