I would rather have some things like undaunted keys and transmute crystals.

When first added to the game, Daily Rewards were awesome. Since then, the better rewards have been reduced and removed leaving it in the diluted state it's in now.

Kept their word? About giving away FREE stuff?
I think there are bigger fish to fry rather than complaining about FREE things.

I liked crown crates and hope one day we will see few more, but I'm ok with no crates.
I like pets and costumes, because there can't be too much of them (and dress and wolf pup are nice!).
Currency is not much, but still good.
Though I don't think I'll use so much xp scrolls, I understand many will do. Food is ok for lowlevel characters, not to craft for theit level. Soul gems and repair kits... may be useful one day, and, well, at least they don't take much place.

Only things that I don't like are potions and poisons. They can be useful, yes, but there are just too much of them. I'll have to start just destroy it soon.

Transmute crystals ans keys can be good addition, yes. I'd also like to see some furniture as "small" rewards.

How useful is free stuff supposed to be?

I actually use the potions a lot (on my tank). I like the crown repair kits very much. Gold, Tel Var, AP - sure, why not. I collect the xp scrolls, I don't know why.

I wouldn't mind to see the crown soul gems removed from the rewards. Those are really annoying.

I'd suggest loot boxes as rewards, they could contain an overland set weapon, crafting mats, tempers... That would be at least more interesting than another 1k gold.

Some of the daily stuff is useful. In particular I've come to love tripots. Even if the rest is a bit meh then so what? Free stuff is free!

That said, if ZOS decided to throw in some of the more exotic items (nirncrux, Hekeijo, transmutation crystals, Perfect Roe, Aetherial Dust, etc) I wouldn't object.

Personally I miss the free crown crates, but at the same time I appreciate the free stuff that they're under no obligation to give us in the first place.

Though I have no particular use for crown poisons, I'm sure that for somebody out there it's their favorite thing.

I feel that what they give out is well balanced and offers something for everyone.

You are asking two questions here. 1. Are the rewards useful to me? 2. Is Zos lying?

1. I'm not complaining but in direct answer to the first question, no, the items are not useful to me as a longer term player. Don't need gold. Crown potions/poisons/food are inferior to what I use. My CP1000+ chars hardly need xp scrolls. All my characters who want vigor/caltrops have it so AP is of no interest. Don't know or care what TelVar stones do. I would love to turn the crown consumables into crown gems instead of simply destroying them. The occasional costume or pet is nice. Crates were nice when they were part of the rotation. As mentioned above, furniture items, transmute gems, undaunted keys would be nice. I realize the interests of someone who's been playing a long time are different than newer players so, again, I'm not complaining - simply providing feedback.

2. Is Zos lying? Frankly, I think the question demeans the poll and a separate issue completely from whether the items are useful. That is why I voted other.

I'd be happy if they added a no thanks button I could click to destroy the rewards I don't want instead of picking them up. Other than that free is free so no problem.

Yes and this is not going to change. Due to free cartes and lot of good stuff in daily rewards sales on crown store droped a lot and that's why we won't see this again. Pure business.
