Not able to get Cyrodill quests/dailies...anyone else had this problem?

It's only on my first character (from launch)...my newer characters must have done the tutorial or whatever when you enter Cyrodill and can get the quests. My first character however doesn't get any quest markers, there is no starter npc in either of the two starting locations in Cyrodil, I don't see anything in the main city to start the Cyrodil quest and I get nothing off the quest boards...DId I miss something, or is it possibly bugged? Anyone else get this problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the siege training grounds for the quests that are picked up after the Welcome to Cyrodiil quest. You can find the training area between the gate area with the quest boards and the scroll temple by that gate.

you mean where the siege merchant is? ...i'v looked pretty much everywhere at both the starting camps and can't find any quest markers or npcs that will do anything...I appreciate the help...I think I might just be bugged?

No, there's a small training ground that's part of the beginner quests near one of the two gates. You have to hop down from the safe wall and head out a little ways (not nearly as far as the scroll temple), and there's a set of NPCs and pre-set up ballista, catapults, and trebs for you to practice with and a set of targets on a small island. These NPCs can give the next quest objective when doing the beginner quests, so it's a good place to check.

Thank you very much! It worked perfectly...I didn't realize there was the training area over there...it would be nice if they flagged it with a marker or had a markered npc in the main area that sent you over there...Not sure how I bi-passed that on my other characters...because they can pickup quests and I never did that training on any of them /shrug...anyways, thanks again for the help...much appreciated.

You probably bypassed it by picking the "I don't need training" option on your other characters...…

That then stops the training quests.

Although as there are skill points to be had, it's always good to go with the training option :)

Glad that you got it resolved, although that was really LonePirate's idea. It normally is marked because you are sent there as part of one quest objective, and then you get the next one right there; you might have abandoned or just not started all that time ago on this character. You don't have to do the training, you can just bypass and I'm guessing that's what you did on your newer characters.

I had this problem during the recent PvP event. It always seemed to be tied to my previously having signed up my character for siege training but not followed through on getting it done.

On the plus side, I then got double AP for completing the quests belatedly.

Indeed, my current plan is to try to level any new characters up to Rapid Maneuvers just through log-in AP rewards, then doing all the Welcome to Cyrodiil quests only at times of double AP. We'll see how well that does or doesn't work out in practice.

Why bother? It can't be more than a few hundred AP tops by delaying it until double AP event.

Actually If you do all quests (3 or 4 with training grounds and scrolls visiting) you'll get around 10k AP :open_mouth:
Done it on my new toon yesterday without any problems.

Take mission. Choose, "I don't need training." See the warlord and you're done.

    Huh...go figure...

I’ve complained all these years that there should be an Introductory to Cyrodiil quest that teaches about Siege, Repairs, Transitus Shrines and how to Leave Cyrodiil....

And here apparently there was one!? And I skipped it?lol
